The Loop: Blogs and the Media

We’re willing to bet that more people go to blogs for information than read newspapers and periodicals. If you pushed us, we’d go so far as to say that Perez Hilton’s blog gets more hits on a daily basis than any news site on the internet.

The blogosphere has forever changed what kind of information is delivered, how it’s delivered and how many people absorb it. However, some would argue that blogging is not real journalism, because blogs hardly hold to a universal standard of excellence, integrity and truth. Should the general public trust blogs more than traditional media?

To answer that question, we welcome celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton.
