Pinnacle Video Transfer

• If you follow the directions, it's pretty simple
• You have to make sure your video source has AV (yellow, red, and white) or s-video output, which means you can't record directly from cable (co-ax)
• You just push one button to record or stop, as well as change the quality of the recording; it might have been easier if they had put dedicated stop and record buttons or some sort of display
• If you have a TiVo or something with output, just hook up the cables and record it to a thumb drive; it will not record directly to a computer's hard drive
• You can also put it on any other USB device like a PSP or iPod
• It's an mpeg-4 encoded in h.264 up to 720 x 576 resolution
• They are put in sequential order (file 1, file 2, file 3) and if you want to record over something you have to hold down the button
• It should time stamp files instead
• You can upload gameplay, TiVo'd stuff, or basically anything to the web or your iPod, which is an incredibly useful tool that you never knew you needed
• Version 2 should have an HDMI input, stop and record buttons and time stamping
• We would definitely pay extra for this stuff
