Gadget Pr0n: T-Mobile Shadow

Gadget Pr0n is a safe place for the technofile inside of all of us to grow and learn about new technology, technology that understands you, unlike your girlfriend and overbearing mother.

Our resident tech experts will tee off about all the gadgets that separate us from cavemen, but magically bring us all closer together... over the phone or the internet, not in person or anything.

Tonight they’ll talk about the T-Mobile Shadow.

Also, are you a friend to the Earth? Then check out GCycle... it's G4's new initiative to try and get you to be a better person and recycle tech stuff!

  • Incredible design, very sleek
  • Nice, understated colors
  • Satisfying slide
  • Thin and light, not as bulky as a blackberry
  • Not for hardcore smart phone users
  • Giant 2.6” color screen
  • Click/scroll wheel with directional buttons is actually very intuitive
  • Sometimes the wheel doesn’t move quickly enough
  • Simple T-Mobile home screen for easy access to features, but you can switch to classic Windows Mobile
  • A little slow switching between applications or navigating
  • It’s got a full QWERTY keyboard, but has two letters on each button, like the Blackberry 7130
  • You know where all the letters are, but double tapping or Word Complete can be a hassle
  • 2 megapixel camera with different modes like “camcorder” and “sports,” although images are a little faded
  • Wi-fi, but browsing was still kind of slow
  • Micro SD expansion slot up to 4GB
  • Sync your Outlook
  • Windows Media Player 10
  • Bluetooth
  • No GPS
  • Another entry-level smartphone that doesn’t have all the features, which is why it’s only $149 with contract
