Grand Theft Auto III has been regarded as the most controversial game of all time. It's the game that made gaming dangerous again, focusing on Claude, a criminal who's forced to commit all sorts of illegal yet awesome crimes in order to rise up in Liberty City's immoral ranks.

Even though players were rewarded for things like car jacking, prostitution, and miscellaneous violence, GTA III was also known for how it revolutionized third-person open world gaming. It brought technology and the entire gaming industry a step forward in more ways than one.
