Super Mario Kart was released in the mid-90s. It brought together everyone's favorite characters from the most popular Nintendo games for one ridiculous race after another. Super Mario Kart also introduced the famous yet treacherous Rainbow Road track.
Everyone had their favorite racer, and characters could use power-ups like shells to knock their friends off the race tracks. The tracks themselves were awesome too, as they were all Nintendo themed places like
Bowser's Castle and Koopa Beach.
