Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition

Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition is a game that Capcom is calling an "arcade perfect port" of Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike from 1997. While this downloadable stays faithful to the original game's art and balance. It also adds a lot of new features like unlockables and new modes that will get fighting game fans hyped up.

"While the underlying game has not been touched, Capcom has added a suite of features that encapsulate this version of the game. Chief among them is a persistent challenge system that tracks numerous aspects of the game -- parry 25 attacks, perform 75 super arts, win with a perfect round, etc. – and reward you with “Vault Points” which are used to unlock concept art, music tracks, and videos."

Make sure to read our Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition review to check out everything the downloadable title has to offer.

blizzard dota

According to a recent interview with Eurogamer, Blizzard DOTA's Senior Game Designer Jonny Ebbert said the version of Blizzard DOTA that was shown at last year's BlizzCon has been completely rebooted to make the StarCraft 2 mod more accessible to newcomers. Blizzard DOTA is a fast-paced StarCraft 2 mod that's a variation of the original Defense of the Ancients map mod that originated in Warcraft 3, another Blizzard title. At BlizzCon last year, Blizzard announced Blizzard DOTA for the first time much to the delight of Dota fans everywhere. But since then the company has said little about the official mod, only that they hope it's ready by the time the first StarCraft 2 expansion, StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm launches.

"DOTA's a very addictive game that chases the vast majority of people off because their team mates are screaming at them." said Ebbert. "We've always felt DOTA has a very accessible, easy to approach fun game deep down inside that's just waiting to come out."  According to Ebbert, what Blizzard showed at BlizzCon 2010 was completely flattened and it has now been rebooted to make it in to the best product possible that will appeal to both casual and hardcore DOTA fanatics.

Na'vi Win The International Gamescom Dota 2 Tournament Over EHOME For One Million Dollars

Na'Vi, the Ukrainian Dota 2 team has been crowned the first ever Dota 2 champion over team EHOME, winning a staggering one million dollars at the Gamescom tournament in Cologne, Germany. Na'Vi battled it out against 15 of the world's top Dota 2 teams, showcasing amazing talent and strategy.

Dota 2 is based on a Warcraft 3 mod called Defense of the Ancients. The game is currently being developed by Valve, with one of the original developers, IceFrog. In order to generate hype for their new title Valve threw a one million dollar tournament called The International.

The International was the first time that Dota 2 has been seen by the public, and for the most part, most eSports fans were quite happy with what Valve has done with the title. The attention to detail that Valve showed with the new design of the game, the heroes, and the animations was extremely impressive and reminiscent of the original game.

Starting in the Winner's Bracket, Na'Vi started the finals one game up against EHOME. The final series was extremely intense, as EHOME managed to tie it up by winning the first game. But, with their aggressive strategy and confidence, Na'Vi was able to surge back to win two games in a row, to become the first Dota 2 champions in the best of five format.
