Comic-Con 2010: Will The New Hulk Be Named Tommorow?

It seems that by the the end of tomorrow, we just may know who will be taking Edward Norton's place as The Hulk/Bruce Banner. At least we will, according to TheWrap, who reports that "one knowledgeable individual" has told them that actor Mark Ruffalo, who was recently rumored for the part is finalizing a deal with Marvel today. Should that go according to plan, Ruffalo will then be whisked-away from his home in New York and flown down to San Diego to join Marvel Studios' big Comic-Con panel.

There is no word yet on the progress of those negotiations, but it would definitely be cutting things close, even if they did manage to work things out by the end of today.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

I'm not much for hyperbole, but I'm going to completely go against the grain by announcing that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is the best comic book movie ever made. Hands down. Sure, The Dark Knight was an experience, but this movie is the most faithful adaptation of a comic book that I've ever seen. It truly needs to be on your radar. Luckily, it isn't out until August 13, giving you plenty of time to get to the library or the comic book shop and read the entire series.

It's sort of ironic that this film is opening against The Expendables, because whereas that film is laden with testosterone and bulging muscles, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is full of angst and introspection. Surprisingly, Pilgrim is going to be the one that resonates with anyone who's ever touched a Game Boy or a thumbstick.

Comic-Con 2010: Wonder Woman Movie To Be Announced Soon?

According to a report by The Playlist, there are rumblings from the floor of Comic-Con about what may be an impending huge announcement: A Wonder Woman movie set for 2013.

While this should definitely be taken as a rumor, the belief, is that sometime within the next 48 hours (which I would have to assume will be during tomorrow's Warner Bros. panel,) the existence of the would-be film could officially be announced, along with the involvement of comic movie guru David S. Goyer. However, there are no details on whether he would serve in the capacity of a producer, writer, or would even occupy the director's chair himself for the Amazonian ass-beater's big-screen return. Goyer has already been involved in a glutton of comic book films, both in Marvel and DC, from The Dark Knight, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Ghost Rider.
