Fandango's Comic-Con HighlightsAs you all know, Comic-Con is massive. Between the games, comics and big hollywood movies, there's almost too much to cover. Between our live blogs, the G4 team on the floor, and today's 4-hour special, we're hitting as much of it as we can. But that doesn't mean we can't use a little help here and there, and that's where our good friends at Fandango are stepping in. They have some great interviews and videos over on their Fanboy Fix blog, and here's a few highlights.

If you’re even moderately interested in the upcoming Warner Bros. flicks Green Lantern, Sucker Punch, and/or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, then our liveblog of their Comic-Con 2010 panel will no doubt provide you with all the info and exclusive reveals that you can handle. Green Lantern--  Get a first look at the upcoming sci-fi action adventure Green Lantern, directed by Martin Campbell. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard as Dr. Hector Hammond, and Mark Strong as Sinestro.

Sucker Punch -- Fasten your seatbelt for a sneak peek at the dark action fantasy Sucker Punch, from director Zack Snyder, who previewed his films 300 and Watchmen at past Comic-Cons. The ensemble cast features Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Carla Gugino, Jena Malone, Jamie Chung, and Jon Hamm.

Comic-Con 2010: Jeremy Renner Confirmed As The Avenger's Hawkeye

It seems that Marvel's big-screen super-team can safely add another to the list. In what had to be just one of hundreds of interviews he gave during Comic-Con, the now-christened director of The Avengers Joss Whedon has officially confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet that The Hurt Locker actor Jeremy Renner will indeed join the film to play Hawkeye.

Long-rumored for the role, Renner, the 39 year-old Oscar-nominated actor will join a mega-cast of  Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johanssen, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and the just recently confirmed Edward Norton Mark Ruffalo.

Comic-Con 2010 Panel: BBC America's Being Human

The four principal cast members of BBC America's Being Human (Russell Tovey, Lenora Crichlow, Aidan Turner and Sinead Keenan), along with the show's creator and writer (Toby Whithouse) were the panelists in what turned into a Being Human pep rally as a room full of eager fans didn't hold back while showing their appreciation for the supernatural drama.

On the left side of the screen we have Marvel's top superhero team, the Avengers, staring Iron Man, Captain America, and the Mighty Thor. On the right side we have Capcom's top fighting characters, which includes Ryu, Dante, and the legendary white wolf, Amaterasu.

Dead Space 2

Nearly a baseball teams worth of panelists took the stage for Visceral Games' "Building a Horror Entertainment Franchise: Dead Space 2" Comic-Con panel. On hand were Visceral's Steve Papoutsis (executive producer), Ian Milham (art director), Rich Briggs (producer), Christopher Shy (artist), Brian Evenson (author), Christopher Judge (actor) and Gunner Wright (actor). So many panelists were needed because there were five properties to discuss: Dead Space: Ignition, Dead Space: Salvage, Dead Space: Martyr, Dead Space: Aftermath, and Dead Space 2.

Fallout: New Vegas

While the big, mega-entertainment panels at Comic-Con can be interesting, they too often are a barely disguised attempt to generate consumer awareness of upcoming entertainment products... you know, like commercials. Not so the smaller, more focused panels at the con. They tend to be less full of hype and OMG! moments, but can be a ton more interesting, if you're "into" the subject being discussed. I'm very, very into Fallout, and this year, Obsidian Entertainment got all in-depth about the opportunities and challenges that come with developing video games based on existing intellectual properties, specifically, what the writing process was like during the development of Fallout: New Vegas, the upcoming sequel to Bethesda's smash mega-hit Fallout 3.

Comic-Con 2010: Joss Whedon vs. J.J. Abrams!

When you put J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon in a room together, you sort of expect some sort of vortex to open up in the geek space-time continuum. Either something very good, or very bad, would come out of said vortex and kill or thrill people to the core. It's not just fanboys geeking out on this either. Whedon himself said he was "Shaking with fear" being so close to J.J. Abrams, because "I love Star Trek so f*cking much."

J.J. shakes his head but Whedon continues, "No, I'm sorry, you have to hear this. This is the gold standard for a team movie, for a summer movie, for anything that has come out in the last several years. And it makes me throw up with fear."

E3 2010: Gears of War 3 Screenshots
