Some might argue that the appearance of video game booth babes at trade shows is demeaning to both men and women. They say booth-babery objectifies women and solidifies the worst stereotypes about the social awkwardness of male gamers at the same time. I say, "Bah! Click the video! There are women in it!"

Check out the video below of the best booth babes at E3 2012!

The Future of Action / Adventure Games: BioShock Infinite, Max Payne 3, Tomb Raider And More

Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics have released an apologetic statement about a scene in the title's trailer that gamers found offensive. The whole ordeal spiraled out of control thanks to Tomb Raider Executive Producer, Ron Rosenberg, who in an interview with Kotaku stated that scavengers will try to rape Lara. However, the alleged attempted rape scene, according to Crystal Dynamics studio head Darrell Gallagher, was merely a scene with a "threatening undertone," and doesn't have any rape connotation.

Here's what Gallagher had to say on the official Tomb Raider website.

“We had a great E3 with Tomb Raider and received a fantastic public and press response, with the game picking up numerous game of the show awards based on the new direction taken with the franchise. Unfortunately we were not clear in a recent E3 press interview and things have been misunderstood. Before this gets out of hand, let me explain,” he said.

For the rest of the statement, check after the break.

Warface

During E3 2012, we got to spend some time with Warface. Built on Crytek's CryEngine 3, Warface offers gamers seriously high def graphics, providing a tone of that doesn't quite match the game's goofy costumes. It all meshes together thanks to its Crysis feel and Team Fortress playstyle.

Warface is a strange title. Boasting jaw-dropping graphics, it still doesn’t take itself too seriously, as you can outfit your character with all sorts of goofy costumes. Some of these are localized to Russia (where the game is currently open to play) and China (where the game is in a closed beta). That’s another reason Warface made me raise just one eyebrow. The game will have been developed, play tested, imagined, and realized in two countries not really known for their game development prowess.

Pid

Pid is an indie game that will tax your mind more than it will tax your trigger finger. In the game you take the role of a dumpy little kid, think the boy scout from UP. You're in the middle a robot civil war, and it's up to you to survive. One of the unique things about Pid is the way the developers approached the use of color.

Few games understand color quite like Pid. The game takes a simple approach that’s both beautiful and functional in its aesthetics. From the rocky terrain to the color of the enemy, each one indicates what will or can be affected by your gems. While a simple blue robot may roll through your gem’s effects with easy, that red rocket heading your way will veer upwards once it hits the influence of the gem.

Family Guy

In Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse you'll play as Brian and Stewie as they adventure through bizzare alternate realities and meet crazy characters, like Stewie's bio-bro Bertram. At E3 2012 we got to check out the game's unusal Amish location. Here's an excerpt:

"The demoed level starts Brian and Stewie out in a farmhouse, with a pop-up alerting you that Brian's added a sniper rifle to his arsenal. The weapons you'll have access to suit each character's persona from the show. Stewie's got a ray gun in this level; he can also throw his dirty, used diapers like they're grenades. Brian carries a pistol along with his sniper rifle, and he's also able to whip out a whiskey bottle to use as a melee weapon."

Aisha Tyler Responds To Criticism With Dear Gamers Letter:

Aisha Tyler received some harsh criticism from gamers after her recent job hosting the Ubisoft Presser during E3 2012. Personally I think she did a fantastic job keeping the show upbeat. You can watch the entire Ubisoft press conference here at G4TV.com and judge for yourself.

Since the presser, she's responded to the criticism via a somewhat defensive letter entitled Dear Gamers on her Facebook page . Here's a snippet:

"I play.
I've been playing my whole life.
I'm not ashamed of it.
I don't apologize for it.
It's who I am.
To the core.
I'm a gamer."

The full letter can be found after the break.
