Assassin's Creed And Gilgamesh DLC Coming To Final Fantasy 13-2

Square Enix Japan has announced the next Final Fantasy 13-2 DLC pack will feature an Assassin's Creed outfit for Noel and a Gilgamesh Coliseum battle. Noel's becoming quite the fashion icon. First there was the Mass Effect 3 DLC, then he became a Prada model, now he's an Assassin? I can't even wait to see what's next for the most well-dressed character in Final Fantasy 13-2. Serah will also be getting a new costume, from "Exposure and Defense" and Koyo Koyo, a character from previous Final Fantasy games, will also be a Coliseum boss.

The DLC will be out for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 10 in Japan, but for now Square hasn't let us know when Western audiences will be treated to this DLC. When we have more updates we'll let you know.

For the full image of Noel and Serah in their new outfits check after the break.

Battlefield 3

A newly released DLC pack for Battlefield 3 has some gamers crying foul. "The Ultimate Shortcut Bundle" costs 3200 Microsoft Points, and unlocks almost everything in the game that you'd otherwise have to play to earn.

In American money, that's $40.00, about the price of the game itself, new, on Amazon.

It's interesting how game makers always say that their DLC plans won't hurt gamers who "put in the hours," but it's hard to see this in any other way. I mean, who wants to play BF 3 for 16 days straight only to meet some noob with money to burn sporting your same weapons?

street fighter x tekken

Capcom has been under scrutiny for their policy on DLC in recent months. Numerous complaints have been filled with the Better Business Bureau against Capcom because of their practice of using disc-locked content on copies of Street Fighter X Tekken for consoles. Twelve fighters are locked until the Vita version of SFxT is released this fall. Once the characters are unlocked, gamers will have to buy them for an expected $20.

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer DLC Leak Reveals Possible New Character Class

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer DLC may have been leaked. An image, allegedly taken from the Mass Effect 3 developer server, popped up on reddit showing new playable character classes and was then posted to Facebook. I'm hardly a photoshop expert so I can't comment on the image. I am a DLC expert and I think it's pretty obvious that ME3's multiplayer DLC will offer more character classes.

Final Fantasy 13-2 DLC Brings Jihl Nabaat To The Coliseum

It's been revealed that the next piece of DLC for Final Fantasy 13-2 will feature Jihl Nabaat, one of the villains from Final Fantasy 13. The DLC is rumored to be dropping on March 13, but so far Square Enix hasn't officially confirmed the release date.

The Jihl Nabaat DLC will most likely feature the character as an end-game Coliseum battle, where players will have to defeat her in combat in order to have her join your party. Once we have more info on the DLC we'll be able to tell you all about it.

For now, what do you think of Jihl potentially making her way in to the FF13-2 world? Will you shell out a few bucks to play as her?

Kingdoms of Amalur

The first DLC pack for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is on its way in the form of The Legend of Dead Kel. The pack will be available on March 20 and it takes place on the island of Gallows End, a new area for players to explore and call home. We got to test out the pack, and our own Adam "Swashbuckler" Rosenberg had this to say about it:

"Garrick tells me that he wants to hire a cutthroat mercenary to cut the throat of one Dead Kel, a legendary pirate who is also referred to in some circles as the Ghost of the Frostbreak or the Blood-Red Sail. The actual pirate named Kel was killed centuries ago, but Dead Kel continues to haunt the waters of the Frostbreak Sea--and the merchant ships that pass through--with his crew of Hanged Men, as they're called. Garrick tells me that I'm to meet with Captain Rast Brattigan at the city's nearby docks. He tells me that she's known for being "the worst sailor alive," but she's also the only one who's crazy enough to embark on this foolhardy expedition."

Head on over to the rest of our Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning: The Legend of Dead Kel preview to learn more about this epic DLC pack.

The loveable Sazh is now available in Final Fantasy 13-2 as DLC and if you like the wacky daddy then you're going to love the trailer Square Enix put out for the content entitled Sazh: Heads or Tails?

The DLC introduces two new games to the Serendipity Casino, Chronobind and Serendipity Poker, and it will also bring back the baby Chocobo that I loved so much from Final Fantasy 13. Not only that, but if you finish the main storyline in the game, you'll also be able to add Sazh to your party.

Are you going to be picking up the Sazh: Heads or Tails DLC for FF13-2?

Gotham City Impostors

Everyone playing multiplayer superhero FPS Gotham City Impostors on Xbox Live should be happy -- a bunch of new DLC is available now, and it's totally free. I'm talking new maps, weapons, gadgets, costume choices and even some matchmaking system improvements.

The new map is called The 25th Floor. The new weapons are called  the Kingmaker and Falcon Blade. There's a new item, too, the Toxic Gas Support Item. As far as the costume choices, you can now dress up your Impostor like a lunchador, a corporate schlub gone mad and more. There's a video under the "Read More" tag, too.

Journey Release Date and Price Revealed... For Japan

Don't stop believin', folks, Journey finally has a release date and price... at least, in Japan. According to the Japanese arm of PlayStation, Journey, known as Kaze no tabebito in Japan, will be released there on March 15th for 1,200 yen (approx. $15). The game recently completed development earlier this month, so it's gotta be close at hand for US fans. Hang in there, just a little bit longer... it's not like it's The Last Guardian or anything.

Jake Gaskill, who spotted the release date associated with a new trailer, predicts March 12th. So what do you think?

PSN, Playstation Network

Sony announced that PlayStation Network (PSN) accounts will now be renamed Sony Entertainment Network accounts as of February 7th, coinciding with an update to its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Other than the name change, there does not seem to be any other changes to service, so rest assured PlayStation fans, all is well online for gaming and PSN as a name should still exist.

"It's just a change in the name of the account," said a Sony Spokesperson. "When PSN users log in after the update, they won't experience any changes in the XMB as they know it." They continued, "The goal is one login in for all Sony devices; It helps clarify the unity between PSN and other Sony Entertainment Network services."

If anything, the rebranding of accounts is perfectly timed for Sony's U.S. launch of the PlayStation Vita, which is aimed not only at gamers but as a cross-media device that offers music and movies as well. In a statement issued by Sony, the company shared:

This transition is based on Sony’s goal to enhance its unique digital entertainment offering. As a series of these activities Sony started last September, PlayStation Network will be aligned with “Sony Entertainment Network.” This helps us get closer to our goal of establishing a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account.

PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita system owners will be the only ones experiencing the update. PlayStation Portable (PSP) owners will not receive an update for these devices at this time. Sony Entertainment Network accounts will also enable access to Sony's Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited and PlayMemories Online (currently called Personal Space).

Worthy of panic? No big deal? What do you think of the name change?

Epic Sticking With 30FPS For Gears of War 3

Epic has kept their promise to support Gears of War 3 with DLC post launch. Fenix Rising was the third piece of DLC released for Gears since September. Unlike the Horde Command Pack and Raam's Shadow, Fenix Rising is solely a multiplayer map pack with a few multiplayer character skins. Fenix Rising doesn't have anything to offer for fans of Gears 3's campaign but if you're in it for Horde, Beast or Versus, Fenix Rising is for you.

Fenix Rising is basically a map pack with five maps, Academy, Anvil, Depths, Escalation and The Slab. After the break you'll find out what we thought of each one.
