Killzone 3

A Killzone 3 tournament presented by Virgin Gaming and Edge shaving gel (yeah, I think it's a weird choice for product cross-promotion too) has a prize pool of $40k, and you could be picking up a good sized chunk of it with two of your buddies. The tournament is structed as 3vs3, with qualifying rounds opening Monday, June 27.

From there, 32 teams will compete in elimination rounds. The last team standing gets to claim $10,000, though how they choose to split it is for them to decide. The other 19 teams which comprise the top 20 will also receive prize money, but those amounts haven't been specified.

No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise for PlayStation 3 is slicing and dicing up assassins left and right in glorious HD, and we couldn't be happier. While protagonist Travis Touchdown draws as much inspiration from Jersey Shore as he does Devil May Cry, we fully support his Scott Pilgrim-like quest to edge out his rivals and become No. 1. The dude has a functional lightsaber and a motorcycle, okay? See what else he has in this E3 2011 interview with Konami producer Tak Fujii:

House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut takes what everyone loves - zombies! - and gives us more, more, more. More guns, more levels, more monsters. Evil scientist lords willing, it'll also give us more grindhouse theater-style acting and presentation, two staples which made the Wii original so deliciously campy. PlayStation 3 Move owners, let's lock and load as SEGA senior localization producer Jason Kuo preps us for a descent into gory sweetness:

E3 2011 might be grower smaller and smaller in our rear view mirrors, but that doesn’t mean we’re done nerding out about all the ridiculous sights and sounds burned into our brains from the show. Seriously, some things can never be unseen (a Kinect-powered jockey game, anyone?). Still, it was a solid show with tons of great titles on display, which is why for this week’s Feedback, Adam Sessler welcomes Matt Keil, Emily Gordon, and yours truly to discuss G4’s Best of E3 2011 nominations. Also on the chatting block is Sucker Punch’s supercharged sequel inFamous 2. It’s a full show, so quit reading this, and watch now!

NBA 2K12 shows off an NBA On The Move feature for the PS3 at the Sony E3 '11 Press Conference  that simplifies the controls for passing, shooting and blocking the ball.

To demonstrate the ease of use and since he had a lot of time on his hands these days, a Mr. Bryant  came on stage and quickly showed it was so easy a Kobe could do it.  Also, while this is a PS3 demo, NBA 2K12 will be available for the Xbox 360, Wii and PSP.

A co-op game for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, players can be either Kirk or Spock in an action-packed story that appears to fall between J.J. Abrams' 2009 reboot and the sequel expected to be released in 2012.

Prepare to boldly split infinitives and go save the galaxy from domination and destruction.

Watch The Sony E3 2011 Press Conference Live At 5:00 PM PST

Sony packed journalists and foreign dignitaries into the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena to unveil their E3 2011 offerings, and house music pumped over a crowd washed in darkness and heat. It was actually like a real-life sauna in there, and they kicked things off with 3D. So if you thought Sony might be letting the 3D thing fall by the wayside, you are sorely mistaken. Ominous music bored a hole through our heads while the PlayStation logo flew around the screen before giving way to some sexy, sexy shots of the NGP, and then revealed a full suite of PlayStation products, including "3D World" by Sony. So, again with the 3D. A trailer full of Sony's upcoming products, with heavy emphasis on the NGP and other announced title poured out over a soundtrack so full of bass that it vibrated intimate parts of my body, free of charge! The whole thing was powerful enough to convince the most diehard anti-Sony fan that this is a system worth some attention.

Ubisoft Logo

Ubisoft kicked off their E3 2011 event with a fast-paced montage of their greatest titles, Assassin's Creed, Rabbids and Beyond Good and Evil were in the mix. Ubisoft's president Yves Guillemot explained why this year was so special. It's their 25th.

Since it's a stage Michel Ancel came on stage to ask Yves a simple question, Ubi or not to Ubi? Yves of course responded with "Ubi!"

Sony at E3 2011: We Predict The Future Of The NGP, PlayStation 4, and Kevin Butler!

Sony is under a lot of scrutiny as this year's E3, and they need their press conference to be a resounding success. Lord of the Rings: War in the North is the new action-RPG from Snowblind Studios, and we've got the latest on the game's combat, skill trees, and levels in this video. Snowblind are the same guys who brought us classics like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath, and this co-op adventure seems to follow along in their footsteps. In the game you can choose to play through as a variety of heroes who are trying to stop Sauron's evil force that's growing in the north of Middle Earth.

As a hardcore Lord of the Rings fan, the fact that they're meshing aspects from the books and movies together seems pretty exciting. Plus, I like the fact that you can customize your hero. What about you? How's Lord of the Rings:  War in the North shaping up in your eyes?

House Of The Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut Announced For The PS3

House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut has been announced for the PS3. It will include 3D graphics and Move support. This will mark the first time the mutant-massacring B-movie blood fest will have HD graphics. House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut takes places during a zombie outbreak in Bayou County. Extended Cut will have new weapons, new game modes and of course trophies.

I know this isn't a new, groundbreaking IP but I actually think this game is perfect for the Move, especially if it's compatible with the SharpShooter. It will be all the thrill of the arcade minus the line, germs and quarters.

House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut  comes out on October 25, 2011 for the PS3.
