Like it or not, Sony Pictures is gearing up to shove an all-new rendition of the Spider-Man film franchise into theaters for Summer of 2012. With the selection of Andrew Garfield as our new Wall-Crawler made months ago, and rumors flying about the identity of the film's villain(s), it seems that things are now focused on our hero's potential love interest. According to The Hollywood Reporter, in a process similar to the one that gave us Garfield, Sony has narrowed down the field of Hollywood's young up-and-coming actresses to a slim six. If the duo of Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst in the previous incarnation proved anything (for better or worse,) it's that finding the right chemistry between the film's couple is a crucial science that walks the line of comic relief as an accessible path to the audience's empathy. I realize that Comic-Con 2010 is but a distant, awesome memory at this point, but it's not too early to start preparing for Comic-Con 2011. I'm not just talking about reserving one of San Diego's fast-disappearing hotel rooms before they jack the price up to $500 a night, either. I'm talking Cosplay.

While we were at Comic-Con 2010, we ran across the entire cast of horror-centric reality show Scream Queens, and we've got an interview for you, because, let's face it: The only thing better than a bunch of hot chicks is a bunch of hot chicks being menaced by a psychotic killer!

Oh, Comic-Con, how we love you. We love you for your ton of geeky booths, intriguing panels on any subject under the sun, early looks at video games, movies and TV show and the nerded-out San Diego nightlife. But most of all, we love you for  the Cosplay... sweet, sweet cosplay!

You remember Courtney Cruz and her burlesque troop Devil’s Playground from our cover age of St*r Warz Burlesque Show a few months back and their Video Game Girls show last year, don’t ya? Well, the saga continues as Courtney presents Fempire Strikes Back, the next chapter in her racy take on the Star Wars series. You’ll meet such characters as Bubble Fett, Slaya, Slobba, Darthy, Juan Cholo and Crunchy, L3F0 and R2TuTu, Stormy, and more. I wouldn't know anything about this subject or anything, but there's a new top level domain available for producers of adult websites. Soon, purvevors of internet representations of naked ladies will be able to label their sites ".xxx" as opposed to ".com" or ".edu."  ICANN, the corporation that coordinates the Internet's naming system, approved the TLD for sites that display adult content.

Use of the .xxx domain is voluntary, but according to the company that will be selling the domain names, it will "provide a place online for adult entertainment providers and their service providers who want to be part of our voluntary self regulatory community." It would also make the filtering of adult content easier for creators of censor-ware and snooping girlfriends.

By the way, before you try to register "www.stephenjohnson.xxx" and try to blackmail me, I've already got it reserved.

Ubisoft just announced a Wii game coming up called Dance on Broadway which utilizes the WiiMote to allow you to enjoy music and dancing from the greatest Broadway musicals of all time. Exciting, right? Right?
