Feedback is about to get serious, Law & Order serious. Like an episode of everyone's favorite crime drama, this episode is ripped from the headlines.

  • Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning developers, 38 Studios, failed to make a payment on their 75 million dollar loan to the state of Rhode Island. This resulted in the layoffs of nearly 400 employees.
  • Infinity Ward and Activision are about to go head to head in court over unpaid bonuses. The trial is currently set for June 1st.

This week special guest Rob Jones, VP of Gaming Programming at Machinima, joined Blair Herter, Jessica Chobot, and Stephen Johnson.

Feedback's Question Of The Week

Next week we're going to talk about open world games. Prototype 2 just came out, and we dug the open world gameplay. Sometimes open world games take place in an environment that is so powerful, it becomes a character itself. Basically, we love open world games, but not all open world games are created equal. Do you have any questions about open world games? How about sandbox games? Is there a difference? Oh look who's asking questions now!

UPDATE: The Elder Scrolls Online and Saints Row: The Third  -- Enter the Dominatrix have just been announced. They will both be open world games! Feel free to ask questions about those titles too!

This week Feedback took on the freshly announced game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The 9th Call of Duty title aims to change the way we look at the Call of Duty series. Blair Herter, Jake Gaskill, Stephen Johnson and Eric Eckstein weigh in on how the future of shooters are shaping up. What feature do you think is going to change shooters?
