Ratchet & Clank Future

Insomniac has been one of the most consistent hit makers for Sony's PlayStation consoles. From Spyro to Ratchet to Resistance, Sony has been lucky to have such a talented developer working exclusively on its consoles. Its next game, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time looks absolutely brilliant. At Insomniac's Comic-Con 09 panel, "creative director Brian Allgeier and other team members, including voice talent, will reveal new scenes from the game, the latest trailer, and a new weapon feature."

TheFeed's Patrick Klepek -- who is not capable of rewinding time -- will be on hand to bring you the details on this highly anticipated game. Click here for G4tv.com's live blog on the Comic-Con 09 Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time panel.

No one belongs more at Comic-Con than Watchmen and 300 director, Zack Snyder. He joined the stage with Kevin Pereira for G4's live coverage down in San Diego to talk about the Watchmen Director's Cut, the special DVD chat room for fans, and thoughts on Frank Miller's sequel to 300.

Was I the only one really hoping Zack would show up in Watchmen cosplay?

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

The heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe have been a staple of gaming for decades. While the game quality has been all over the place, it has been consistently improving over the last few years. Game developers have gotten smarter and more skilled in terms of adapting iconic comic-book characters to an interactive medium. A slew of talent working on upcoming Marvel games (Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Marvel Super Hero Squad, Iron Man 2) will reveal their views and techniques. According to the official description:

"Writers Matt Fraction, Mark Hoffmeier, and Evan Skolnick will be on hand along with game developers Kyle Brink, Robert Blackadder, Dan Tanguay, and TQ Jefferson to discuss views on how story and design can come together to make licensed games that don't suck."

TheFeed's Patricki Klepek will be on the scene to bring you all the Marvel merriment. Click here for G4tv.com's live blog on the Comic-Con 09 Marvel: The Next Generation Of Marvel Video Games panel.

Comic-Con is more than just about huge blockbuster franchises like Harry Potter, Star Wars and Iron Man. Alison Haislip and Blair Butler caught up with the cast and crew behind two new thrillers, Pandorum starring Ben Foster and Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus with the late Heath Ledger.

(Cue sad thoughts about Heath Ledger to start...now.)

Comic-Con seems like it will last forever and then it's over before you know it.  Our 9-part series with Olivia Munn, covering 48 hours and almost as many miles, criss-crossing the San Diego Convention Center with our trusty, musty camera crew by her side, feels much the same way - done too soon.

Thanks and love to Olivia for letting us in, and then firmly but gracefully shoving us back out with a kiss before hopping a jet to over the hills and far away. See you back in LA! Don't go changin', hear?

(Unless it's into that Emma Frost outfit, DAMN.)

The highlight of G4's live coverage of Comic-Con 09 would be the array of creative costumes that Olivia Munn and Kevin Pereira donned for our audience.

Luckily for you, we've compiled them all together in a single video for you.

Being a huge fan of True Blood (seriously folks, second season is pretty awesome) I was glued to this clip from Comic-Con. Kevin and Olivia talk with Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica) and Alexander Skarsgard (Eric) about the surge in Vampire love, the show's second season's success, and more. Amazing how different they look not-vamped-up.

Who knew that Woll was such a fan of Comic-Con? Very cool news indeed. Now if Kevin got Anna Paquin's phone number from one of these guys I'll be seriously impressed. Soookiiiiieeeeehhh.

The first 3-D movie I saw was just recently, Pixar's Up. The glasses took some getting used to, but the effects were pretty spectacular. In this special Comic-Con edition of The Loop, Attack of the Show's Kevin Pereira is joined by Pete Kozachik, (Director of Photography, Coraline) and Michael Uslan (Executive Producer, The Dark Knight), for a discussion on the future of 3-D movies at the theaters and in our homes. We wanted to do this interview in 3-D to reinforce the point, but we spent most of our Comic-Con budget on train tickets, a 33.6K external modem, and what we were told were magical beans.

The days of being utterly confused and unsure of what reality you’re living in are quickly coming to an end. That’s right. ABC’s mind-bending phenomenon Lost is about to enter its sixth and final season, and viewers have more questions than ever. To perhaps ease the pain (and maybe to uncover a few juicy Lost tidbits), G4’s Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn caught up with show stars Michael Emerson (Benjamin Linus), Jorge Garcia (Hurley Reyes) and Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) at Comic-Con 09. Check out the full interview to find out more, and to find out which character Michael Emerson wishes he could have portrayed. Lock in your answers now.

When you're tired of all the geek news, there's only one girl who can make Comic-Con better. That would be actress Megan Fox, and Blair Herter caught up with her to talk about her new dark comedy, Jennifer's Body, where she plays a demon-possessed cheerleader with a taste for high school boys. Yum.

The equally hot Kristin Adams talks to Mark Millar about his comic-book adaptation, Kick-Ass, and Jeff Bridges and Olivia Wilde about their new film, Tron Legacy. When are these movies coming out already!?

Okay, enough writing. You just want to watch Megan Fox. Enjoy.

Ever since watching the 1980s mini-series V as a young boy, I've always been fascinated/freaked out by "realistic" portrayals of what would happen during the first alien contact. Which is why I'm incredibly stoked for District 9. G4's Blair Butler talked with director Neill Blomkamp and producer Peter Jackson at Comic-Con about how they made the film feel authentic, and its link to apartheid and politics in South Africa.

When it comes to the classic comic book series the Green Hornet, it's all about his sweet ride, Black Beauty...and cool gadgets...and his sidekick Kato...Ok. So there are a bunch of cool things that make the series a fan favorite. And that's why G4's Alison Haislip caught up the film's star Seth Rogen to talk about the Black Beauty's unveiling at Comic-Con 09, as well as to find out how the film is coming along (Have they found a Kato? Are Cameron Diaz and Nicolas Cage on board?) Check out the full interview to find out!

Comic-Con 09 Live Blog: Paramount & Marvel Entertainment Talk Iron Man 2

One of the major disappoints last year was Paramount’s Iron Man. It just did horrible business, had very little exposure, and pretty much came and went without much notice. Well, somehow Paramount was able to convince a bunch of suckers to fund a sequel (Yeah. Good luck with that.). Anyway, G4tv.com's Stephen Johnson is live blogging the Paramount/Marvel Iron Man 2 panel, just in case you want to find out more about what is sure to be one of 2010's smaller movies.

Elijah Wood has been a permanenty fixure at Comic-Con for severeal years, thanks to his involvement in the mildly successful Lord of the Rings films. This time around, Wood was in attendence to discuss his upcoming animated film 9, produced by Tim Burton. Wood spoke with G4's Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn about the film, which looks fantastic by the way, his Comic-Con 09 experience, and even teases about a potential future project for one Frodo Baggins.
