Don't make that mistake. Comics these days are among the most interesting, cool and innovative things out. For instance, check out the video below for new series The Devil Inside, an action horror comic strip from Todd Stashwick that you can see for free online, right now. Now is the time to check it out, so you can be like, "I was reading that before anyone."

Robert Rodriguez In Talks To Direct Deadpool

It appears that signs could be pointing to the one and only Robert Rodriguez to assume the director's chair and bring the solo debut of  Marvel's infamous "Merc with a Mouth" to the big screen. According to The LA Times, the Sin City and Machete director is currently in talks with Fox to helm Deadpool, the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine spin-off, in which Ryan Reynolds is set to reprise his role as the talented, but mutilated mutant title character. The report echos some rumors that surfaced a few months back implying Rodriguez's interest in taking the film. However, barring any commitment issues Rodriguez may have with Spy Kids 4, the latest report seems to be on solid ground and it may only be a matter of time before the official announcement.

Wacky Rumor: Future Catwoman To Join Batman 3?

Could we be getting our first glimpse of the new Catwoman in Batman 3? Well, if the latest rumor about Christopher Nolan's upcoming follow-up to The Dark Knight has anything to say about it, then yes. According to ComicBookMovie, they've received word from a "reliable source" that the one and only Selina Kyle will indeed be part of the still unnamed third part of the Batman epic. Having glanced at some script notes which make reference to Selina's character, CBM's source may have stumbled upon some big news for the future love life of Christian Bale's tortured, gruffly-voiced, blame-absorbing Batman.

The Comic-Con Trailer For Thor Hits The Web

The much-discussed trailer for Marvel's Thor, which was shown last week at Comic-Con is finally starting to work its way to the Internet, and despite what Odin might think, it is actually quite worthy of its title. Unfortunately, uploads have been disappearing faster than a lost iPad left on a park bench outside an Apple Store. Therefore, I hope that enough people get a chance to see this, because it quite impressive. If you think director and Shakespearean legend Kenneth Branagh plans to utilize Marvel's Thunder God for some pretentious costumed epic with soliloquies, suicidal maidens, and poison-tipped rapier duels, think again! Based on what we see, Thor is a hybrid epic of the classical tragedy, Arthurian destiny, with intense action that works quite well. Do check out the video below. (Which will hopefully still work.)

X-Men: First Class Gets A Twilight Vampire

If X-Men: First Class had a mutant power, it would be the ability to grow cast members at an exorbitant rate. As it so happens, Mathew Vaughn's upcoming revival of the X-Men film franchise has just added another to its already rich cache of mutants. According to Deadline, actor Edi Gathegi, known as the evil Laurent from the Twilight movies and for his stint as the teased Mormon Doctor known as "Big Love" on House, is now on board as the powerful X-man Armando Muñoz, aka: Darwin. Likely minus the dreads, he will be joining a cast that includes the likes of, among others, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Alice Eve, and Kevin Bacon.

Video Of Josh Hutcherson's Spider-Man Audition

The long ordeal full of red herrings and rumors that was the casting process for Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot is by now, long over. However, as some of you may be aware, the process was at a critical juncture where it was narrowed down to five official candidates. Along with the eventual winner Andrew Garfield, was actor Josh Hutcherson, who was actually the bigger favorite to nab the part. Besides being closer in age to the film's High-Schooler Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Hutcherson brought an impressive resume of big-budget blockbusters like Zathura, Bridge to Terabithia, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. However, he also brought to the table this really cool audition video (see below)  which was uncovered by Latino Review, filled with over-the-top stunts which are believed to have been the brainchild of famous stunt choreographer Larnell Stovall.

Marvel Studios To Make More Punisher Movies?

All the Avengers-related hype at Comic-Con's Marvel Studios panel this weekend was obviously a tough act to follow. However, there was one major bit of news we got out of the festivities that seems to have gotten lost in the fray. It was announced that Marvel Studios has reacquired the rights to the Punisher. What this means, is that we could be seeing yet another reboot of the Punisher film franchise. After notorious attempts to bring angry widower/vigilante Frank Castle to the big screen in 1989 and the last two by Lionsgate Entertainment in 2004 and in the recent box-office dud Punisher: War Zone in 2008, one might shudder at the thought of another incarnation being put out there to slander the good name of Marvel's iconic skull-sporting badass. However, I'm going to tell you why it could be a good thing.
