As you’ve no doubt heard by now, this weekend brought with it some rather spectacular news: PSN will be up this week! Oh, and Osama Bin Laden was finally hunted down and killed by a small Navy SEAL team known as Team Six (aka DevGru) in a firefight in a heavily guarded compound  in Pakistan. You know, that too. Seriously though, this is obviously a defining moment in our history, and we couldn’t be prouder of the continually brave men and women that put their lives on the line every day. In the spirit of celebration, and because we are gamer nerds around here after all, we thought we’d put together a little dream team of six ideally suited video game characters who would have been perfect for this historic and brilliantly executed mission.

As a special treat, we have also secured a video of what this particular mission might have looked like had it occurred in video game form. You can find this highly educational and informative video after the break.

Duke Nukem – If there’s anyone who is intimately familiar with projects that take many years to materialize, it’s the King. Plus, if you were going to have someone on hand to bring the “USA! USA!” hammer down, Duke is your man. The only challenge would be convincing him to not ride in on a missile emblazoned with the American flag on it. This is a highly tactical mission after all.

2010 was the year we made contact with the best games. Mass Effect 2, God of War 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and so many more titles dominated this year and now we're pitting them against one another.

Beginning on Monday, we'll forever settle this year's video game rivalry by taking the year's greatest video games and having them engage in brutal, bloody combat to the death. Much like the Thunderdome, many games will enter the Deathmatch, but only One. Game. Leaves. And best of all, you can take home a brand new shiny PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 for playing along.

When we stumbled upon this video of Matt AKA mp1434 taking on Crawmerax the Invincible from the Borderlands DLC add-on, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, we knew we had to share this with you.  Crawermax is bad enough already for a group, but Matt takes him on solo.  See how he beats Crawmerax alone as a Siren in this breakdown of his last five minutes playing, but save your applause for the end when you become witness to the mass amount of loot that springs forth from the carcass!  If you're impatient, skip to the 4:50 mark.

Kratos never really had to sweat the details when came to the Underworld. Then again, he never had a chance to do away with the God of the Underworld for good. Thank the Titans for a shot at him in God of War III. Whether you need  to know how to beat him or or not, remember, we take the hits, so you don't have to.

Team Ninja producer Yosuke Hayashi wants you to want to play Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 in the worst way. How else would you explain this lengthy walkthrough video that's jam-packed with tons of wildly violent and gorgeously rendered action? Now, while the video does show off quite a bit of in-game action, you should know that if any of the following things offends you, you might want to avert your eyes:

• Big breasted women smashing monsters into paste using a giant war-hammer
• Co-op demon hacking and slashing
• Boss battles including an electrified and visibly troubled Statue of Liberty
• Sixaxis boob shaking

If these things don't bother you, then by all means, click play!

Famed Half Life-mod indie developer Unknown World's Entertainment touts their new commercial sequel Natural Selection 2 with a new in-game teaser. The successor to the popular original, you can preorder the PC first-person shooter in either the standard edition $20 flavor or add another Andrew Jackson for the $40 special edition for:

• Tools
• And exclusive black armor.
