According to Chris Lee, Commercial Director at Freestyle games, his company employs 16 full-time DJs to work on content for DJ Hero. Wow!

This game will be out on the PlayStation 3, Wii, and 360 by the end of October.

For Resident Evil fans looking for a stroll down zombie-filled memory lane, Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles for the Wii will most likely scratch your itch, as it takes place during the events of Resident Evil 2, only with a more action-oriented, House of the Dead approach.

Of course, if you're a purist, and you wish the RE franchise would ditch the whole action thing and go back to high-tension horror, you might be less thrilled about this title, and even less thrilled with this E3 2009 trailer. But since you can't please all the people all the time, I'm just going to leave the trailer here, and let you do with it what you will.

You might think you know everything about Activision's Guitar Hero 5, but you'd be foolish to assume such a thing. Fortunately for you, GH 5 project director Brian Bright sat down with us to discuss all of the ways his team has worked to push the Guitar Hero experience farther than ever.

The new additions include new competitive game modes, drop in/drop out party play features, more robust online options, a revised music editor (although, he was cagey on the details) and much, much more. If you want to impress your friends with all of your GH 5 knowledge, I suggest you watch our E3 2009 interview and pay close attention. There will be a test.

"There's lots of guitars out there, and people traditionally have had to play the standard four-piece band, and we just wanted to break those rules," said Bright. " All those guitars sitting in the corner of the room, you can now put them to use. Everyone can play lead guitar if they want. If you happen to have a bunch of drum kits, it's pretty awesome to have a big drum circle, it's a lot of fun -- if you've got the space. [laughs]"

There is something oddly compelling about Raven Software's upcoming sci-fi FPS Singularity. It might be the whole mysterious island thing, or the fact that the story takes place during two differing time periods, or that the game lets you manipulate the time states of objects, environments and even enemies.

Ok. So there are a lot of very concrete reasons why this game deserves to be on people's radars. And if you're looking for a little inside baseball as to how Raven approached and implemented time manipulation in the game, be sure to check out our E3 2009 interview with Raven co-founder Brian Raffel. You know, unless you're against learning.

At this year's E3, we tracked down Guha Bala, President of Vicarious Visions, to get the inside story on important super-hero video game Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. The game is closing in on its beta date, kids, although we don't have an exact release date yet.

According to Bala, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 features 24 playable characters right out of the box, with more on the way as DLC. "Yeah, but which of my very most favorite Marvel super heroes will be included?" you might ask. How's this: Old Ultimate Alliance favorites Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and Hulk will be joined by newcomers Songbird and Iron Fist. New for E3 is the revelation that Deadpool is a playable hero and Venom and Juggernaut (biotch!) are playable villains.

PlayStation NetworkIn a press conference packed with big announcements of big games, it's easy to miss some smaller, but very awesome stories. Sony's press event today featured word on a new motion-control system, a new Final Fantasy game and other surprises, but, when you've already finished all these games sometime in late 2010, there will still be entertainment on your system because of another less flashy, but just as important, announcement.

As evidence of their commitment to allowing the downloading and viewing of television and movies, Sony announced partnerships with media companies as diverse as Showtime, E!, HD Net, Starz, TNA, and G4 (Hey! That's us!) So, in some mythical future, you'll be able to watch Bridget's Sexiest Beaches when you finish playing God of War III.

How these channels will be working within Sony's Network wasn't announced, but when we hear more, we'll let you know.

God of War 3

Dear Kratos lover: All your this-gen Kratos fantasies will come true in March 2010, when God of War III is finally released. The game, featuring all the beating-up Gods action you can handle, is, of course, a PlayStation 3 exclusive.

Update: Sony sent over some more details on this title--in case you're curious, the fact-sheet is below the cut.
