While we first heard about this zombie game four years ago, we kind of forgot it, but this week, the amazing trailer got inside our heads and kicked our brains' asses all over our skulls.  We liked it enough that we recut it... twice. Here's the chronological version, and here's the funny version.

Meet the NGP: Tech, Specs and More

In software news, the biggest release this week was Dead Space 2, the awesomely scary survival-horror game. We're all playing it, and our reviewer loved it. In the hardware world, Sony earned the week, clearly, by dropping details on their upcoming handheld system. Right now, the codename is "The Sony NGP," but look for that to change. Judging from the specs, it's a beefy, awesome system that happens to fit in your hand. Here's a Sony NGP photo gallery for you.

We made our usual awesome web-shows for you, too. Check them out:

  • Feedback  takes a look at the Nintendo 3DS and Dead Space 2!

  • Fresh Ink: Blair Butler is back, revealing some killer comic-book spoilers.

I hope you had a good time unwrapping your presents and playing the new games you no doubt received. We've spent our week communing with the Elder Gods through an ill-advised combination of egg nog and rum-cake. I can hear colors! We all played a bunch of Super Meat Boy, too. Damn, that game is hard!

We also made some web shows for you, because that's what we be 'bout. Check them out below:

This week started with the revelation of X-Play's best of 2010 list. Yeah, it was a good year. The holidays have us all in a reflective mood. The industry is settling down to enjoy a much deserved break, and that leaves us (and hopefully you!) free to play games instead of write about them.

We didn't take a break this week from making our fantastic web shows, though... check them out:

The release of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm has everyone at G4 racing to reach the level cap, but we still had time to make our usual slate of awesome web shows. Check it out:

Every week, I like to reflect on the things I've learned from video games, and this week was no exception. The biggest game released this week was Wii-exclusive Disney Epic Mickey. The week before that, it was PS3 exclusive Gran Turismo 5. These two games represent opposite poles of what's possible in gaming. GT5 aims to present as realistic a re-creation of real life as possible, where Mickey is a complete work of imagination. Video games FTW!

We also made our usual slate of interesting web shows for you to enjoy:

  • G4tv.comedy: Mario breaks his neck in this edition of G4TV.Comedy!
  • Feedback: Disney Epic Mickey is on the plate in this week's Feedback.
  • Sessler's Soapbox: Adam Sessler was very impressed with Disney Epic Mickey as well.
  • The MMO Report: Casey took a look at Crimecraft.
  • Fresh Ink: Blair Butler reviewed the biggest comic book releases of the week.
