E3 2010: Konami Press Conference Report

This week was filled with all sorts of E3 prep. Face it folks, the largest videogame convention of the year starts tomorrow so you better be ready! Konami's pre-E3 press conference started us off right and gave us new details on Silent Hill and Transfarring. We'll have to wait and see which developers blow us away this year, but for now, let's look back on what happened this week.

 More Uncharted 3 Details, Screenshots Released

This week was full of news ranging from The Witcher 2 to the PSN. One reoccurring theme we saw this week was the struggles video game based movies are facing. The Uncharted: Drake's Fortune movie lost its writer and director David O. Russell. The movie will need a new writer before it can move forward. The BioShock movie still hasn't made any progress towards production either. Irrational Games' Ken Levine hasn't given up on the film though. If Street Fighter The Legend of Chun Li can get made, anything can.

This week was all about Rockstar's LA Noire. Adam Sessler reviewed the game and praised it as one of the best gaming experiences he has had. L.A. Modern Warfare 3 Cover Art Revealed?

This week we started to see the leak and confirmations of a few huge titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Soul Calibur 5. We also previewed a few big name titles like StarHawk, Alice: Madness Returns, and Shadows of the Damned that we're sure to see more of at E3 this year during our coverage from June 7-9. Over the next few weeks you're definitely going to want to keep your browser pointed here for massive amounts of previews of a bunch of games being shown at E3, but for right now you're just going to have to stick with what we've got so far (which is a lot!).

PSN Accounts Hacked: How to Protect Yourself From Identity Theft

It's been a hectic week with tons of news but one has stayed on our minds: the PSN outage. This week there has been several developments with the PSN. Sony's CEO responded to the US House of Representatives addressing the data breach. Then Sony announced they would launch an identity theft protection plan. Sony also released a statement on their blog reassuring gamers progress was being made and the PSN would be back soon. Hopefully we'll all be playing together online soon.

OpEd: The Sony PSN Security Breach - Why I'm Angry

This week was filled with all sorts of news, but the main thing that was on everyone's mind was of course the PlayStation Network outage. Unfortunately an unauthorized person got access to PSN members' personal information potentially including their credit card numbers and now the FBI have gotten involved with the whole situation. We've been all over the security breach all week, among all of our other coverage.

Gears of War 3

Videogame Deathmatch Is Back! Determine The Best Franchise Of All Time!

So ends another week of strong competition in our Videogame Deathmatch: Best Franchise Edition. Strong competitors like Final Fantasy, Madden, and God of War all bit the dust while the strong continue to survive. Videogame Deathmatch Is Back! Determine The Best Franchise Of All Time!

This week we kicked off Videogame Deathmatch: Best Franchise Edition. We're giving you the chance to decide who will take the crown of best video game franchise. And while you might be able to vote and be on your merry way, the G4 staff has been arguing non-stop about which series will take the prize. So far we've had Nerdfights for GTA vs Half-Life, Madden vs. Mario and Gears of War vs. Final Fantasy.

Mortal Kombat Hands-On Preview

There were plenty of announcements this week but nothing stood out quite like Kratos' Mortal Kombat gameplay trailer. The God of War will have more weapons than any other character in the game. He will even have his own timed events in order to achieve the most brutal fatalities. If you can't get enough MK there was also a Mortal Kombat tag team trailer that showed all of us at G4 the power of team work.
