Rage

Rage was all we could talk about this week at G4TV.com. While PC gamers had a bit of trouble out of the gate with id Software's newest title, most Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers were delighted with the game. Weekly Wrap-Up: G4U Teaches You How To Get A Job In The Gaming Industry Edition

This week school was in session with G4 University where we tried to teach you how to get a variety of different jobs in the gaming industry. You can check out our Game Jobs blog tag for all of our awesome G4U content including our career resource guide, articles on how to get various jobs like a video game composer, a video game writer, and more. We even talked to some of the industry's most prominent men and women who gave us tips on how to be a video game commentator or a concept artist. If you're interested in getting in to one of the most fast-paced and exciting industry's out there then you won't want to miss what we've got for you at G4U!

But wait, this week also held Japan's largest video game trade show, the Tokyo Game Show, and revealed a lot of unexpected surprises. With Nintendo and Sony both giving impressive press conferences and unveiling new games, consoles, and more it was a very interesting week. The PlayStation Vita absolutely stole the show however, with Sony announcing its Japanese release date of December 17, a launch window featuring 100 titles, and a Final Fantasy 10 remake for the system.

Dead Island: The Making Of An Amazing Video Game Trailer

This week the horror game Dead Island released (and so did Resistance 3!) and it was all we could talk about at the office. From hilarious launch glitches, to a huge day one patch, to a guide of where you can find all of the weapons and mods in Dead Island, we really had an action-packed week with our zombie pals. Counter Strike: Global Offensive Confirmed For Early 2012 Release

This week we got a lot of details on two upcoming shooters: Borderlands 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. These two shooters both have huge cult followings, and we were very happy about the details that were revealed surrounding these titles. Borderlands 2 will have all new weapons and characters, while CS: GO will stick to its Counter-Strike 1.6 roots and also introduce new weapons and modes. It was a good week for FPS fans, that's for sure!

QuakeCon 2011 Dates Announced -- Rage Will Be Playable On The Showfloor

Ladies and Gentlemen QuakeCon 2011 is on right now and so far it has been off to a fantastic start. With an amazing Quake Live tournament, as well as hands-on time with The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and Dishonored, we're pretty psyched at this year's event. Not to mention, the annual id Steam Sale has kicked off, knocking some seriously fantastic games down to practically pennies. Yeah, QuakeCon rules.

Peggle Nights Content Coming To Peggle XBLA As DLC

One of the biggest stories of this week was major video game publisher EA has bought indie game developer PopCap for the sum of $750 million dollars. California Files Reply Brief In Violent Video Game Supreme Court Case

This week we were all very happy at work because the Supreme Court of the United States ruled against California's game law. It was a 7-2 decision, ruling that California's law forbidding the sale or rental of violent games to minors do not comport with the First Amendment. In short, according to Adam Sessler, the gamers won!
