Yeah. We were there. Check out the show floor. And the Girls. While you're at it, why not check out everything from Tokyo? You'll be glad you did.

TheFeed Weekly Wrap-up

Posted August 18, 2007 - By Stephen Johnson

This week was all about the demos on the Xbox 360. Three huge holiday titles showed up in the Xbox live marketplace. John Woo's Stranglehold, Beautiful Katamari, and, biggest of all, underwater/horror/Art Deco shooter Bioshock!

Because we got your back, we'd like to present you videos of all three game-demos. You want to check these out, but watch for spoilers.

But that's not all that went on this week. Not by a long shot. Here are the other big stories of the week.

  • A brand new Halo 3 map, The Narrows, was announced.
  • Sony wants you to know the PlayStation 3 is very, very stable. How stable? According to  Sony Computer Entertainment Europe founder Chris Deering, the PS3's default rate is "around 0.2%." Not only that, but it will, apparently work in a freezer or a sauna.
  • USA Today opined that the Xbox 360 version of Madden '08 kicks the proverbial butt of the PS3 version. The reason: Frame rates are higher on the 360.
  • Ubisoft, the creators of Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell and too many other good properties to mention, confirmed that the company will be expanding into film production as well as book publishing.

And how was your week?
