How does one make a cake out of Gotham City? Additionally how does one make that cake a LEGO version of Gotham City?

We're more than month past the initial launch of WB Interactive's action-adventure game LEGO Batman: The Videogame. However, the publishers have released a behind-the-scenes video detailing professional cake designer Confetti Cakes meticulously creating a city block of the game in delicious detail.

Check out our review of LEGO Batman: The Videogame here and the "making the cake" video below. Enjoy!

Nugget From The Net

Impressive...most impressive.

Year after year around Halloween, Wired gathers the greatest Star Wars jack-o'-lanterns out there and gives the carvers their props. The work is being showcased in a gallery, which includes the work of (the unfortunately surnamed) Noel Dickover who dominated the magazine's top spot last year for an almost surreal Death Star carving.

Microsoft's Surface, the touch-sensitive, light-sensitive display scheme that will soon rule our lives, has many uses, but the newest one we've heard of is the best: It will get you drunk.

Specifically, if a saloon has a SurfaceWare table or bar, it could keep track of how much liquid is in your glass in real time, and send a waitress over when you're a quart low. That way, you need never face the unbearable heartbreak of an empty Rock 'n' Rye ever again. Our hearts say "rad," but our livers say, "Oh, no!"

Check out how the thing works in the video below:

The world has lost a great man today: Rudy Ray Moore, also known as Dolemite, has shuffled off this mortal coil and gone to Heaven with the angels. He died of diabetes at 81.

The comedian/actor/singer is best known for his portrayal of Dolemite in classic blaxploitation flicks Dolemite and The Human Tornado. Moore popularized the pimp archetype, and so was instrumental in the creation of 87 million-zillion rap songs and hip-hop personas. Plus, he "has an all-girl army that knows what to do. They're foxy as hell and practice kung fu."

He will be missed.

If you're more like "Rudy Ray Who?", you should check out the trailer to Disco Godfather below, another Moore vehicle that is too awesome for your puny mind to comprehend.

A Chinese company has engineered a pair of shoes that generates electricity as you walk. The sole contains a small amount of water and when the walker takes a step the fluid shifts and spins a tiny turbine capable of creating 1.2 watts of electricity. It's just enough to keep an iPod running forever provided the user keeps walking.

They're working on ways to make it more efficient and powerful and say the shoes could generate as much as 3 watts, which would handle a laptop. Unfortunately there's no system right now to store power so you'd have to be walking while using that laptop, which means you would have no lap, and therefore no top of your lap. But putting a small battery on a belt or on whatever connector goes into the device could solve that problem.

NTT hopes to actually have products for sale with the generators in 2010.

To our Jewish readers/viewers, G4 would like to offer a hearty "Happy Yom Kippur, y'all!"

For those not in-the-know, Yom Kippur is among the holiest of holy days in the Jewish calendar. It is a day of atonement where The Chosen People reflect on the wrongs they have done and atone for their sins.

We realize keeping track of your sins can be a full time job, but technology and google can help you. We recommend using google's calendar on a daily basis to keep track of your affronts to g_d and your fellow man. Just enter your sins soon after you commit them. Then, next Yom Kippur, you'll know exactly what to reflect on. Easy-Peasy!

Oh, and for our Jewish friends who are Orthodox and are fasting all day, here's a picture of a delicious brisket...

...wait, if you're Orthodox, why are you even reading this on this holy day? Sheesh!

The above Pac-Man inspired haute-couture is not a Photoshop. It's an honest picture from a Milan's catwalk, where  fashionista Giles Deacon shows off clothing inspired by the greatest pellet-eating maze game in history.

There's another pic of an outfit inspired by Blinky under the cut.

Employees of clothing chain Abercrombie & Fitch (see sexy ad above) are complaining about the store’s rigid idea of what its employees should look like and embody. They are saying they are being held up to the standards of the models in the chain's ads and even demoted if they are not deemed attractive enough.

One gal was pulled from a sales position on the floor and demoted to the stockroom when it was determined that she didn't fit the store’s "sexy, effortless style." Store manager Joshuah Welch, ironically a former star of the CBS show Big Brother (see where being a reality TV star gets ya?) was recently told not to return to work until his hair was a more “normal color.” Apparently his blonde highlights were not a suitable image that Abercrombie wanted to portray in stores.

"It's so subjective how they judge you," said a 19-year-old brunette employee, who was told by one manager that she wasn't attractive enough to work on the floor.
