Call Of Duty: Blacls Ops 2 Zombie Mode In Nuketown -- There Goes The Neighborhood

Those who step up and purchase a Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season Pass have an extra bonus to look forward to. Activision confirms that Season Pass holders will receive the Nuketown Zombies map in addition to a full year's worth of planned DLC packs.

The Nuketown Zombies survival map was previously only available to those who pre-ordered a Hardened Edition or Care Package version of the game. Season Pass holders won't receive it immediately, with the plan being to put the map out in December 2012 (on Xbox 360 first). The Black Ops 2 Season Pass is priced at $49.99 and includes four upcoming DLC packs in addition to Nuketown Zombies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 touches down in stores today, giving fans their first chance to check out the game's theme song, which was co-composed by video game music vet Jack Wall and Nine Inch Nails bossman Trent Reznor. You can give it a listen yourself up top if you haven't had a chance to check it out inside the game yet (via Kotaku).

I'm thinking that those who appreciate Reznor's work as a musician will take to this new track immediately. The piano-heavy instrumental is overflowing with minor keys and big crescendos, and it feels very much like one of Reznor's quieter, more reflective Nine Inch Nails tracks. Even if the game isn't your thing, the music is well worth checking out.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is finally here and in the video below you can catch the first 15 minutes of the highly anticipated first-person shooter. The game opens with a rather emotional scene featuring antagonist Raul Menendez followed by an epic gameplay sequence in Angola with hundreds of soldiers. If you haven't picked up your copy of Black Ops 2 yet, check out what you're missing in the video below.

StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm New Units

Blizzard recently teased a 2013 release date for the StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm add-on only recently, and now we've got an official, final date to work with. The developer reveals in a Battle.net update that Heart of the Swarm will be coming on March 12, 2013 (via Eurogamer).

In addition to expanding/tweaking the capabilities of existing units and adding new ones, the coming add-on pack introduces a new player progression system and a number of other elements. Pre-orders are now open to Battle.net users; you can pre-buy your own copy of Heart of the Swarm for $59.99.

VIDEO PREVIEW: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is in stores tomorrow, and Treyarch is letting fans know what sort of behavior won't be tolerated online. The developer posted the game's official rules of online conduct on its forums and -- surprise, surprise! -- you're going to get in trouble if you act like an asshat online.

Not only are the rules basically identical to what we've seen in previous Call of Duty games, they're also pretty much common sense to anyone who is capable of measuring such things. Don't be nasty to people, don't try to break the game for the purposes of cheating, don't use modded devices, and don't pirate the software.

The lone newcomer to the rules and regulations prohibits "offensive live streams or unauthorized live stream content," since live streaming is a feature of the new game. Again though, nothing unexpected.

Borderlands 2 Boss Guide -- Taking On The Legendary Beasts

Mac users will soon have their chance to explore Pandora, with an Aspyr Media-developed port of Borderlands 2 due to arrive for Apple PCs on November 20, 2012. This is a feature-complete port, with all of the September release's content and features, including Gearbox Software's fan-favorite support for drop-in/drop-out co-op play.

Aspyr isn't exactly a stranger to bringing games into a Mac OS environment. The studio's Mac port resume includes four Call of Duty games (Black Ops and Modern Warfare among them), Civilization 4/5, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, among others. If you skipped the Gearbox game earlier this year because you've made the insane life choice of gaming only on your Mac, now's as good a time as any to check out our Borderlands 2 review.

Grand Theft Auto 5 Features Three Protagonists

Well, that was quick. Only a few hours after Game Informer revealed the Grand Theft Auto 5 cover for their December issue, an internet user has uploaded what he/she says are scans of the complete article from GI.

The exhaustive article covers many aspects of GTA 5, going over the setting, scale and scope of the game. Here are some bullet-points for you guys:

Main Characters:

  • Michael: He is a retired Bank robber in middle-age. He's out of the game after making a sweet deal with the FIB, but financial matters have him returning to his life of crime. Married with two teenage children, Michael, it seems, must commit crime to maintain his upper-middle-class lifestyle.
  • Trevor: This character is a psychopathic criminal who lives in a "desert-ghetto" of sun bleached houses and meth labs. Think Breaking Bad.
  • Franklin: Franklin is a repo man, making his living "stealing" property that people in Los Santo can no longer afford. His home-turf is the GTA 5 equivalent of Venice Beach.

Gamers can finally get their first look into the world The Elder Scrolls Online in this dev dairy called "Introduction." The Elder Scrolls Online aims to unite two types of people, Elder Scrolls fans and MMO players. Bethesda plans on doing this by focusing on strategic real-time combat, word immersion, rewards for exploration and making sure they are all tied together with social systems.

So far the biggest draw of TESO for me will be being able to explore all of Tamriel.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

BioWare's MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic, will become a free-to-play experience on November 15, 2012. Gamers who wish to pay a fee for a more advanced experience with rewards will still get to do so. The jump from a subscription model was made in order to gain a wider audience. F2P changes will be seen with the changes like addition of Cartel Coins to SWTOR, a new in-game currency, which will launch on November 15 as well.

F2P SWTOR will allow gamers to play all the classes available up to level 50, which is the current level cap. I played SWTOR when it was first released and loved it. If you're on the fence about checking it out, I would suggest trying. It will be free, and who knows, maybe it will be the MMO you were looking for
