Nuggets From The Nets

If you play Skyrim on a console like I am, it's time to get totally jealous. Not only do PC gamers get a full suite of Skyrim mod tools, they get a Space Core from Portal 2 as a free bonus. But that's not all: The Space Core may come with some sort of Portal 2 related quest.

The evidence is a little sketchy at this time. No one has confirmed that there is a quest attached to the Space Core itself, but YouTube user Memorable has posted a video that shows off the location of the core, as well as embedded help text referencing a "Portal 2 quest."

That's all we have to go on right now, but I thought you console heads would at least like to see what you're missing:

This Skyrim Machinima entitled The Great Battle of Skyrim by YouTube user Tyrannicon is unbelievably amazing. I don't know which mods he used to make it, but it's an excellent video of a battle between 500 Draugr, 200 skeletons, 500 Dwarven Warriors, and a Bone Dragon. It's seven minutes of jaw-droppingly epic action and if you love Skyrim then I promise you're going to love this.

Skyrim Valentine's Day Cards Warm Our Frigid Hearts

Valentine's Day is coming up fast, ladies and gentlemen. Aside from being one of the most hated days of the year for most gamers (including myself), it usually brings about some very clever gaming-related Valentine's cards and this year is no different.

We'll feature all of the fun ones we see, but the first ones are from Jemma "eatfun" Salume and they're inspired by The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. The Valentine featured above is called Guard, and you'll find Valentines featuring Lydia, M'aiq, Alduin, Belethor, Guard, and Ulfric after the break.

Minecraft Is Now Home To World Of Warcraft's Kalimdor In Today's Nugget From The Net

Take note, Internet: there's really no such thing as "too many" Minecraft re-creations. If you've taken a geek-friendly franchise and built some aspect of it in Minecraft's awesomely blocky world, it behooves you to share it with us all so that we can geek out together. Today's object of Minecraft geekery? The World of Warcraft continent of Kalimdor.

Kalimdor is just one piece of the puzzle. The creator's grand master plan is to bring all of Azeroth into Minecraft's blocky embrace. Rather than being the product of an obsessive number of building hours, the creator -- Rumsey on the Minecraft Forums -- instead credits the "largely automated custom software" that he developed with doing the heavy lifting. Don't hate though; a computer might have been programmed to do the building, but the results are still plenty awesome.

The screenshot above is just a sample; make sure you check out the rest at the source link below.

The Cast Of Community As Street Figher Characters: Nugget From The Net

I'm proud to show off this amazing piece of art from artist Ben "Kinjamin" Deguzman, featuring the cast of NBC's Community dressed up as Street Fighter characters. Let's list them, shall we? We've got Abed as Ryu, Troy as Ken, Pierce as Zangief, Britta as Cammy, Chang as Blanka, Annie as Chun-Li, Dean as Chun-Li, Jeff as Guile, and Shirley as Akuma. Awesome, huh? To check out the full size image, head over to Kinjamin's Deviant Art page.

The Super Bowl is over, and Eli Manning and his Giants somehow managed to pull out a win. I'm a Redskins fan so I'm not too pleased with the result, but the game was good nonetheless. Especially Ahmad Bradshaw's touchdown. But what we didn't know is that 1UP already knew what the outcome would be since they made their own simulation of the game in Skyrim.

You see, they put the Patriots versus the Giants in a field and, well, the Giants crushed the Patriots a lot harder than they did in the actual Super Bowl. Check it out below.

What did you think of the Super Bowl? Which commercial was your favorite?

koopa olly moss

Artist Olly Moss' latest project is a series of Mario Posters that draw from the original Japanese version of the game. It's a menacing design featuring the King Koopa himself, Bowser, stalking Princess Peach. For now you can't purchase the posters, but they are fun to look at. For more info on Olly Moss, as well as a more detailed look at the prints, you can check out his website.

Do you prefer the red or the black version?

Conan O'Brien took on Star Wars: The Old Republic's same sex relationship issue in his own special way last night on the show. Even though in this clip they don't actually use footage from SWTOR, the voice over clips are pretty funny. Check it out below.

Who do you plan to romance in Star Wars: The Old Republic?

One of the most brilliant things about The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is its insanely amazing soundtrack. A group of Skyrim fans have taken Jeremy Soule's Dragonborn theme and created a rock remix that sounds incredible. I really love video game remixes and this is one of my favorites so far. Check it out below.

What's your favorite video game related remix? Does this one come near the top of your list?

If you're a guy with your own player 2 (a.k.a. you have a girlfriend) I'm guessing that you can relate to just about everything that's in this "S%^t Gamers Say To Their Girlfriends" video. As someone who's dated gamers in the past, I can personally relate to a ton of the scenarios.

Note: The language is a bit NSFW. You've been warned!

If you liked this video, check out G4's own Sh$t Nerds Say video after the break.

YouTube user SkipPrime has created a simply amazing Half-Life 2 video entitled Half-Life 2: Godspeed You! Gordon Freeman. The video takes lyrics from the song "The Dead Flag Blues" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor and shows how closely the song relates to the events in HL2. I don't want to spoil anything in the video, but if you're a Half-Life fan it's absolutely worth the watch.

What did you think of Half-Life 2: Godspeed You! Gordon Freeman?

I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was...Now that you've read that sentence you're going to have the entire Pokemon theme song stuck in your head all day. Got ya! In case you've forgotten any of the words, vocalist Nick McKaig has covered the entire song by himself with the help of himself, himself, and himself. Check it out below.

My favorite Pokemon has always been Vulpix. What's your favorite Pokemon?

I love Breaking Bad, it's one of my favorite shows on television and College Humor has made all four seasons in to an 8-bit RPG masterpiece. The 8-bit version features many of the characters from the show, and goes through all of the most important events.

So if you're still on Season 2 or something (a.k.a. you're Nikole Zivalich) then you're going to want to avoid this video because it has major spoilers! Also it has some coarse language. But if you can't handle Jesse Pinkman calling you a bitch, then you need to buck up a bit.
