After a run that has lasted five years and three months, The MMO Report has officially come to an end. In this final episode, Casey reflects on this journey, welcomes a few guests, and issues his fond farewell.

Tera has some Halloween delights for its legions of players. Masks, pies, pumpkins, new enemies and other scare-iffic Halloween surprises are in store. There's nothing better than seasonal content from MMOs, I think you will agree!

The Guild Wars 2 Halloween Event "Shadow of the Mad King" is now live for players to participate in. The event marks the first big update to the massively popular GW2, adding 80 new pieces of content, many of which revolve around a spooky four-act story culminating in a big Halloween event on October 31.

Shadow of the Mad King brings back the loony Mad King Thorn from Guild Wars, and the event will let players trick or treat, go on scavenger hunts, craft special Halloween-related recipes, and play through all sorts of Halloween-themed mini-dungeons and areas across Tyria. There are even themed events complete with achievements to partake in; the only thing missing is you.

Along with the Shadow of the Mad King, other additions to the game include a new mini-dungeon called Vexa's Lab, and other dynamic events throughout Fireheart Rise, the Plains of Ashford, and Timberline Falls. There are even new jumping puzzles, one of my favorite parts of the game.

Everybody needs a hero, and lucky for us, we have Casey Schreiner and his trusty MMO Report. The latest expansion to CCP Games' sprawling sci-fi MMORPG universe EVE Online is called Retribution and it's launching on December 4, 2012, the developer confirms. The new pack follows the example set by Inferno and Crucible before it, introducing major changes to the game's single-shard universe.

"Single-shard" means that all EVE Online players exist in the same online space as opposed to being broken down into smaller groups on different servers, which is the way other popular MMOs work. CCP also leaves the state of the galaxy in the players' hands, with a loose set of rules allowing for more flexibility than you'd typically find in this sort of game, and a much steeper learning curve to go along with it.

If you're one of the many who are impatiently counting the days until the Mists of Pandaria expansion for World of Warcraft is released, find some solace in this newly released cinematic trailer.
