We had so much fun hanging out with the talented people who make Rift that we had to share our experience with all of you. So I guess making video games is that much fun. I wonder if they're hiring...

This week everyone has been talking about the Mass Effect 3 Day-One DLC, and that got Adam Sessler thinking about how much we pay for games these days. In this week's Soapbox, The Sess brings up the idea of variable pricing based on the amount of content a game contains. Would you rather pay $60 for every game no matter what? Or would you rather have the option of paying only $40 for a game with a standard single-player experience?

According to Syndicate, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and countless other video games the future is going to be run by huge corporations with little value for human life and really shiny office buildings. Adam Sessler has been playing quite a bit of Syndicate recently, and in this week's Soapbox he discusses the idea that an oppressive future will be controlled by business rather than government.
