"The Hunt" is a terrifying tale of horror that mashes up old-school suspense with the Nintendo classic Duck Hunt.

You've probably never considered the horror potential of the NES launch title, but director Sam Balcomb clearly has. In Balcomb's dark vision of "Duck Hunt," three hapless hunters come face to face with a monstrous entity keen on their demise. It's the perfect film to get you ready for Halloween.

Balcomb is the co-founder of Rainfall Films, and has produced content for Britney Spears, Steven Tyler, ABC Studios, IGN.com, Willow Smith, Katy Perry and more. We think you'll really enjoy his movie.

Check back tomorrow for Drew Daywalt's "Kart Driver." And on Wednesday, Gregg Bishop's "The Birds of Anger," a horror take on Angry Birds in which the birds are very, very angry.

In the video below, X-Play host Blair Herter welcomes Ernest Cline, the author of game-heavy sci-fi novel Ready Player One  for a full day at X-Play and to witness Cline handing over the keys to a Delorean to the winner of his Ready Player One Easter Egg contest. Cline sticks around to tell Blair all about his contest, and even comes back inside to take the X-Play Super Mario Bros. Challenge!

On Wednesday, August 29 at  6:30 PM ET, you shouldn't be anywhere in the world but in front of a television watching X-Play. Blair and Morgan will be hosting Ernest Cline, the author of video game-centric novel Ready Player One, and during the show, Cline will be revealing the winner of the epic video game contest held over the summer. The prize: Cline’s 1981 DeLorean complete with a Flux Capacitor, the very same car that Cline drove cross country for his book tour.

This real life contest mirrored the contest from Ready Player One, and included three increasingly difficult video game challenges and "gates" to clear-- just like in the novel. Cline hid an Easter Egg in the form of a URL in both the hardcover and paperback editions of the book. When readers found the hidden clue, it led them to the first of three increasingly difficult video game challenges. Once through the first challenge and upon the opening of the second gate, players encountered a second video game challenge, designed by Richard "Lord British" Garriott, the famous video game creator and the inspiration for Ready Player One's character James Halliday.
