Rift's been out for 8 months and has found quite a loyal following. Part of the reason their fans love the game so much is that Trion has been putting out content updates consistently. Their next patch, 1.6, is the largest to date and adds a new zone, new dungeon, new raid, and tons of additions to their already stellar gameplay. On this week's MMO Report we get a first look at the Ember Isle and find out what the future holds for Telara and the thousands of Rift players out there.

For more info on the update, including a guided tour by Rift Producer Adam Gershowitz, you can check out our Rift Update 1.6 preview.

Battlefield 3 is a fantastic multiplayer game, but the single player campaign has received some negative criticism. Adam Sessler had similar feelings, so he decided to turn that subject into this week's Soapbox. Can a beautiful, incredibly designed game rest on its multiplayer alone? Or do you need an epic war campaign to whet your appetite for destruction?

Fresh Ink Online: Marc Andreyko Reviews Halloween Comics! »

Fresh Ink Online gets terrifying this week when host Blair Butler is joined by writer Marc Andreyko (Torso, Manhunter) for a Halloween roundup of horrifying comics. The Birds Of Anger: Angry Birds Gets Frightening-- G4 Films' Epictober Film Festival

We wanted to close G4 Films Epictober Film Festival with a truly amazing short film, Gregg Bishop's "The Birds of Anger."

Inspired by the best-selling mobile game, Rovio's Angry Birds, "The Birds of Anger" harkens back to Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 classic “The Birds,” and gives gamers a glimpse into a world where birds not only target pigs, but people as well.  “The Birds of Anger” is directed by Gregg Bishop, director of the “Dance of the Dead," and stars the great Jaimie Alexander, star of Thor.

If you missed yesterday's selection, "Kart Driver," check it out here. Monday's film of the day, "The Hunt," is available for viewing as well.

Thanks for attending G4 Films Epictober Film Festival. Please file-out of the theater in an orderly fashion, but keep checking back: G4 Films promises to continue to bring you awe-inspiring visions of the intersection of games and movies in the months and years to come.

Yesterday Adam Sessler's review of Uncharted 3 went up. He gave it a 4 out of 5, and many of you were not pleased with that score. But did you read his written review? If you had, you might understand that he enjoyed the game a lot, but had only a handful of problems with it that resulted in its final score. Such is the topic of this week's Soapbox. Adam hates trying to apply a numerical value to the quality of a creative work, and would much rather you read a written review to understand the context and nuance of the reviewer's opinion.

Kirsten Price as Lara Croft

The photo you see above is adult star Kirsten Price, dressed as everyone's favorite archeologist, Lara "Tomb Raider" Croft. Price and X-Play are combining forces to create something mind blowing that I can't tell you about... yet. But I can tell you it's going to be sexy. Maybe even sex-ay. Watch X-Play on Halloween at 6:30 PM, and all shall be revealed.

"I'd like to see more of this Kirsten Price," you may be saying to yourself. Well, friend, you can see a lot of Kirsten in this video, in which Kirsten Price gets very sexy with a Microsoft Kinect.

This week everyone's playing Batman: Arkham City, and if you're not... well you better have a damn good reason. While playing through the game, Adam Sessler was struck with a thought; Is "Open World" still a genre of video games? In this week's Soapbox the Sess will explain why he thinks the industry has developed the open world to a point where it no longer defines the game, but is a tool that adds to the player's immersion in its setting. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some citizens to save!
