Deus Ex Human Revolution

Comic-Con 2011 is coming up fast, and Square Enix will be there showing off their AAA titles like Dead Island, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Final Fantasy 13-2, and Wakfu. Not only will attendees be able to check out the games, but SE is also hosting two panels devoted to Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Dead Island.

The first, The World of 2027 in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, will feature Eidos-Montreal community manager Kyle Stallock and a panel of Mary DeMarle, lead writer at Eidos-Montreal and Will Rossellini, CEO of MicroTransponder. Along with a Q&A and extended game footage, the two will discuss the theme of transhumanism in DE:HR and compare it to current scientific advances in the bio-mechanical augmentation field. The panel will be in room 5A on Thursday, July 21 at 11 AM.

The second panel plans to infest Comic-Con with Dead Island's zombies. GamePro's science editor Andrew Groen along with Dead Island's lead writer Haris Orkin and other zombie experts will explore the undead monsters. You'll be able to check out the panel in Room 8 on Friday at 7:30 PM.

James Bond Blood Stone

A new 007 shooter based on the "Goldeneye" film is going to be unveiled by Activision at Comic-Con on July 20. We're speculating the game will be called "GoldenEye 007: Reloaded" after uncovering the purchase of the GoldenEye Reloaded domain name a few weeks ago.

No details surrounding the game have been released, including what systems it will (or won't) be for. Once we find out more on the 007 game from Comic-Con we'll be sure to get you all the news. What do you think the new 007 game will be about, and more importantly, what do you want to see in it?

Morning Hangover: Are You Ready For Comic Con 2011?The Mass Effect movie will be making some sort of appearance at Comic Con 2011 and that makes me pretty excited. San Diego Comic Con is the biggest nerdfest of the summer, happening July 21-24. The event shows off the newest sci-fi, fantasy, and horror movies, along with the latest genre television shows, and of course, comic books. Video games are somewhat an afterthought at the big convention, but nevertheless it should still be a pretty awesome show this year. Are you excited for Comic Con and our blowout coverage of it this year?

Mass Effect 3's Weapons Will Be Getting Help From DICE

The Mass Effect movie will be making an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con later this month. BioWare's Casey Hudson and the screenwriter, Mark Protosevich, will speak about the Mass Effect movie during the Legendary Pictures' presentation.

It doesn't sound like the movie is anything more than a script right now but it's concrete enough to be a part of their panel. Could the Mass Effect movie already have a trailer? I'm so excited about this I think I just developed asthma, like this very moment.

Admit it, you're shocked the Mass Effect movie seems to be actually happening, aren't you?

Voltron Video Game Announced -- Activate InterlockA new Voltron game is going to debut at Comic-Con on July 21. During the first ever Voltron panel, THQ producer Adam Affrunti is scheduled to present a game while other companies plan on showing off a variety of other Voltron related products.

Attendees of the panel will get to see all of the new Voltron stuff, including, "both all-new and iconic Voltron content including original graphic novels, comic books, video games, Nicktoons' highly-successful Voltron Force television series, and toys and merchandise in addition to other collectibles, exclusive sneak previews, never-before-seen material and surprises for attendees," according to Comic-Con.

All of the merch will hopefully ignite some excitement for the rebooted robot-themed franchise.  But really, are you excited for a rebooted Voltron game?

Comic-Con Wrap-Up: The Cosplay Galleries

San Diego's Comic-Con may be several months from popping off, but you should think ahead. The annual gathering of the nerds is sometimes difficult to get into, but tomorrow, the event's organizers are testing out their badge distribution system by selling badges to a thousand prepared geeks.

On December 15 at 8:00am PST, 1,000 4-Day Comic-Con badges will be available by checking the official Comic-Con Test site for a TicketLeap registration link. Each badge will cost $105.00 for Adults and $52.00 for Juniors/Seniors and will require a $1.00 non-refundable deposit and a $2.00 non-refundable service charge per badge paid directly to TicketLeap. In appreciation of your help, the 1,000 test badge receivers will receive a $3.00 credit per badge purchased through EPIC, upon checkout.

It's too early for us to have concrete plans, but G4 will be there, on the floor, flooding you with live television and internet content, bringing you everything you want to know about the coolest games, movies, TV shows and comics at Comic-Con, so get ready. The show goes down between July 21 and 24.

New York Comic Con has now officially come and gone, but G4 was there and on the scene to bring back all the latest news and updates. Sadly, it wasn't exactly a banner  year for games at the show, despite a strong developer presence, but there were a few highlights to lead the way:

"The ComicCon’s videogame highlight was likely Rockstar’s surprise unveiling of Undead Nightmare, the zombie-filled downloadable content for Red Dead Redemption. The Manhattan-based company’s zombie-inspired booth had a dozen game kiosks, a hot DJ and two kinds of t-shirts for giveaways. During play, some of those zombies moved with the uncanny speed of The Flash, making you, as John Marston, rush to burn them with a torch or fire at them with a blunderbuss."

Hall H Of Horror: The Comic-Con Attack

In spite of rumors to the contrary that circulated at this year's show, the annual Comic-Con entertainment convention will continue to be held in San Diego for at least the next five years. Comic-Con officials announced Thursday that San Diego had beat out Los Angeles and Anaheim as home to the convention through at least 2015.

"San Diego has been home to Comic-Con for over 40 years and it's an honor to continue hosting this important event, which is now so much a part of the fabric of our community," Mayor Jerry Sanders said.

What do you get when you attach a blade saw to a steel pole while drenching the saw in gasoline and then setting it on fire? I called it "Inferno Pain." That's just one of the ways to defend myself against a herd of zombies, but since I live in the real world, I'll just get my mind ready for Dead Rising 2 to come out and let my creativity spew out all over those hideous zombies.

Wes Phillips, PR manager at Capcom, takes us deeper into Capcom's zombie massacre games Dead Rising 2 and  Dead Rising 2: Case Zero. Find out how creative you can get when combining different objects to make an awesome killing weapon in the video below.
