Blizzard Cosplay

Blizzard might have canceled Blizzcon this year, but the company is making up for it with a full on Comic-Con assault, including informative panels, autograph signings with Blizz celebrities, a sneak peak at the upcoming The Art of Blizzard book and a look at Sideshow Collectibles' line of Blizzard figurines.

G4 will be all over SDCC 2012, with tons of coverage of the hottest happenings at the show: Everything from movie stars, to looks at upcoming blockbuster games to exciting cosplay. Don't miss it. It all begins July 12.

Capcom's Captivate Event Roundup: Street Fighter X Tekken, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, Asura's Wrath, Dragon's Dogma, And More

Capcom have announced their Comic-Con 2012 schedule. The Japanese company has a pretty impressive lineup this year, offering a variety of panels and playable demos of their games as well as producer and artist signing sessions.

At their booth, #4844, Capcom will be offering playable demos of DmC Devil May Cry, Lost Planet 3, Okami HD, Resident Evil 6, and Street Fighter X Tekken. The producers and artists from these games will be signing at various times at the booth too. Additionally, Capcom will be offering prizes and photo ops to people who visit the booth.

Nintendo 3DS XL Announced, Launching This Summer

Nintendo has announced their Comic-Con 2012 lineup. Not only will the hardware giant be showing off the brand new Nintendo 3DS XL, but they'll also be showing off titles like Super Mario Bros. 2, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate. Disney Announces Comic-Con 2012 Schedule: Tim Burton, Sam Raimi And More

Disney has announced their Comic-Con 2012 schedule and they've got some pretty big names, like Tim Burton, for Frankenweenie, and Sam Raimi for Oz The Great and Powerful. Both directors will be on the same panel in Hall H, so you should probably get in line now.

WALT DISNEY STUDIOS MOTION PICTURES will be hosting our Hall H Comic-Con panel on Thursday, July 12 from 2:05pm – 3:05pm.

Q&A panel featuring the imaginative director of Frankenweenie Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland); A special look at the world of Oz The Great and Powerful with director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man trilogy); the illustrious voice cast of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wreck-It Ralph, including John C. Reilly (Step Brothers), Sarah Silverman (The Sarah Silverman Program) and director Rich Moore (The Simpsons).

G4 will be all over Comic-Con 2012, bringing you everything you care about, from video games to Hollywood blockbusters. Keep your eyes here for all the information you want!

Microsoft's Industry 343 Reveals New Halo Legends Anime Project

Microsoft has unveiled its Comic-Con 2012 plans, including two Halo 4 panels, a Gears of War panel, and a hands-on looks at Forza Horizon,  Fable: The Journey, Dance Central 3 ,Assassin’s Creed 3, Resident Evil 6, Borderlands 2, Hitman: Absolution, Sleeping Dogs, Deadlight, Wreckateer, and more at its Xbox lounge.

G4's own Morgan Webb will moderate a panel entitled Gears of War: Past, Present & Future to be held in Room 6BCF, on Friday, July 7 at 2PM, and if you want to get an inside look at Halo 4, you must attend the Halo 4 panel:  "Halo 4: A New Campaign and 'Halo Infinity Multiplayer' in Room 6DE,  on Saturday, July 14, 3:15pm.

Of course G4 will be all over Comic-Con 2012, bringing you everything you care about, from the most interesting celebrities to the hottest games, to early looks at the blockbuster movies and TV shows you'll be watching for the next year.

Comic-Con 2010: New Photos For Drive AngryRichard Alf, the co-founder of Comic-Con has died. The 59 year-old comic-book fan lost his battle with pancreatic cancer last Wednesday. Alf was the chairman for the very first Comic-Con in 1970. He even donated money to fund the first event. It took place at the U.S. Grant Hotel in San Diego, only one mile from where San Diego Comic-Con takes place every July. Alf left his volunteer role with the con long before it became the Hollywood spectacle it is today. He went on to open his own comic-book store, Comic Kingdom, in the 1970s.

Richard Alf will be missed but his legacy will live on.

Marvel MMO Officially Has A Title: Marvel Heroes

The MMO Marvel has been working on shall hence forth be known as Marvel Heroes. The game was previously dubbed Marvel Universe Online but that name has since been squashed. My guess is it sounded a little too similar to DC Universe Online. I hope you weren't expecting any big announcements or enticing details with the name change because all we are going to get is Spider-Man. Picture after the break.

Armed with only a Flipcam and the will to survive, G4tv.com producer Frank Meyer headed to Long Beach Comic-Con on Halloween weekend, where he rolled with his brother, Breckin Meyer, as well as Seth Green and their Robot Chicken posse. Along the way, they ran into gushing Robot Chicken fan Thomas Jane (The Punisher, The Mist, Hung), the Team Unicorn gals, and a cavalcade of costumed comic super fans. Enjoy.

G4 At New York Comic-Con Oct. 13-16! 

Now that Summer is giving way to Fall, our thoughts naturally turn to the East Coast, where Comic-Con, New York style, is about to get underway. Comic-Con New York takes place between October 13th-16th at the Jacob Javits Center, and G4 will be there with Blairs-a-blazin' to celebrate! Blair Butler and Blair Herter will be signing at the G4 Booth (#1746), we'll be selling some AOTS gear, including t-shirts and hoodies, and giving things away with a daily Epic Raffle.

We'll have more information on New York Comic-Con coming soon, but, in the meantime, here's a look at the G4 host signing schedule:
