Starlet turned train wreck, Lindsay Lohan is going to trial for rear ending the van of a Los Angeles area busboy, Raymundo Ortega while allegedly intoxicated (back in 2005).

Lohan’s representation is claiming that Ortega caused the accident by illegally making a U-Turn, while Ortega’s lawyers are claiming that a nineteen year old Lohan (who witnesses say had been served alcohol at The Ivy prior to the accident) was at fault.

Team Fight Club is teaming up for another film, but it's not Fight Club 2: The Legend of Tyler's Gold. The new film is State of Play, based on the BBC mini-series of the same name.

The film will follow Pitt, who plays an investigative journalist working along with police to solve the murder of the mistress of a Congressman, played by Edward Norton.

The director is Kevin Macdonald, who directed The Last King of Scotland. The film will begin shooting in November.

One of the funniest men on television, Jon Stewart (of The Daily Show) has opted to throw himself into the line of fire one more time and host this year’s Oscars. This will be his second time hosting, the first being back in 2006 when he steered the 78th Annual Academy Awards.

This should stand as a testament to Stewart’s comedic acumen, because almost nobody in recent history, no matter how talented, has ever hosted and gotten a rave reviews, let alone been asked back for a second stint.

You've seen Casino Royale, right? If not, go watch it and come back. Mr. White will be making a return in the new Bond film.

Mr. White, played by Jesper Christensen, was the villain's main contact in Casino Royale and had a run in with Bond.

DarkHorizons reports that Mr. White will "endure 007's interrogation methods at the beginning of the [new] film," with the sequel continuing the story immediately after Royale ends.

'Bond 22' will begin filming this December and is planned for release on November 7, 2008.

DarkHorizons: Mr. White Returns For "Bond 22"

TheFeed is saddened by the news that cult-icon/deodorant salesman Bruce "The Chin" Campbell is giving the sequel to the indie hit Bubba Ho-Tep the (severed) finger. Reports today are surfacing that Campbell, who played an aging but no less ass-kicking Elvis in the Don (Phantasm) Coscarelli directed film, alongside Ozzie Davis as JFK, will not be returning for the sequel, Bubba Nosferatu & The Curse of the She-Vampires, which is currently in development.

As reported last week on Fangoria Radio, Campbell has stated that "[Bubba Nosferatu] is dead to me. It sleeps with the fishes. Don Coscarelli is a very passionate filmmaker. We got to a few points [developing the screenplay] that we couldn't reconcile. I want to keep our friendship, so we parted ways. So, I'm not part of that project."

There's a trailer for Iron Man online, and it's full of goodies for you to chew on until the movie comes out next May. We get to see Robert Downey, Jr. as the cavalier Tony Stark, billionaire who cares for nothing, and then we get to see what compells him to become the hero in the cast iron suit.

Seriously, this trailer is pretty awesome. We don't want to say a whole lot more, for fear of spoiling it, but any Iron Man fan, or even one who has a passing interest in the film, will be very pleased with what they see here. Yes, it's essentially the same trailer that was shown at Comic-Con this year, but now you get to watch it over and over again, waiting with bated breath until the next trailer shows itself.

Tobey Maguire, the guy who made it clear he was oh so sick of doing big budget, comic book movies while on the press tour for Spider-Man 3, is producing and possibly starring in a big budget, anime movie for Warner Brothers.

The film is a live action adaptation of one the most popular anime series of all time, Robotech, which is essentially about pilots who take giant mechs into combat against aliens. It may be written by Craig Zahler (writer of the upcoming revenge western, The Brigands of Rattleborge) and doesn’t currently have a release date.

It's one thing to be a celebrity and end your marriage. It's purely another to then take the announcement to MySpace, for all of the internet world to see. Such is the method of Jenna Fischer, who you will recognize as the adorable cuteness that plays Pam Beesly on The Office. After breaking up with her husband, James Gunn, director of Slither, she then posted a message on MySpace talking all about it.

And what was said? Not much, actually. Just that the two of them are undergoing an amiable split, and that they would appreciate it if people didn't run one of them down to the other as a show of support. Now, we love Ms. Fischer, and we love The Office, but we don't love them so much that we're going to go on MySpace and talk poorly about her soon-to-be ex-husband. We don't even know the guy. The preventative maintenance on this one is a little premature.

Still, she's adorable.

Ladies and gentlemen, set your TiVos. Britney Spears will be performing on the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night, live from Las Vegas. Given Ms. Spears' recent spate of lunatic activity, odds are about even that she's going to do something during or after her performance that you will be talking about on Monday morning.

Even better? Justin Timberlake will also be in attendance. This means that they might have a chance of running into each other. Oh, what pure gold that would be. She's nuts and desperate, he's super popular and still writing songs about what a biotch she was in ending their relationship. A couple of drinks, and you're looking at an episode of Cops.

Don't miss it.

There's a nude picture of High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens out there on the internet, but, until this morning, most of us just naturally assumed it was a fake. Not so, according to Ms. Hudgens' PR rep, who says that the picture was taken for a private purpose (no duh) and got circulated on the internet by accident (super no duh).

Now, TheFeed's younger sister watches that High School Musical crap all the time, and we know that Kevin Pereira's also a fan, but we had no idea that the Disney television monster was filled to the brim with such hotties. This chick's a stone fox, if we do say so ourselves. You might not be able to find the pictures on the internet, but let's just say that she's pretty awesome wearing absolutely nothing, as well.

HBO has been talking about a series version of Preacher for a while now, and there's some reporting that those in charge have gotten in touch with director Robert Rodriguez about helming the project. This adds to the seemingly never-ending list of projects that Rodriguez is reported to be involved in. If all of these stories are to be believed, then Rodriguez is going to be working every day of his life for the next 70 years.

Of course, this is all rumor, as are all of the reported Rodriguez projects over the past couple of months. There might never even be a Preacher series on HBO, as there has been a lot of reported interest in the project, without any sort of production order from the cable company. Still, we'll see what we see.

IGN: Robert Rodriguez to Direct Preacher for HBO?

John Cusack has been in the film industry for the past 25 years, having made over 50 in his long and storied career. Of these, he says that he's only made 10 good ones, and notes Being John Malkovich and Grosse Point Blank among them. That leaves only eight other films that he considers having been good. We'd like to differ, and can name, off the top of our heads, at least another 10 films that John Cusack is in that we think are pretty damn good.

How about Say Anything? High Fidelity? These are pretty much classics of the Cusackian oevre. Not to mention that the man was in Sixteen Candles and Bob Roberts. Wow, we're at six, and we haven't even had to dig yet. Better Off Dead and The Sure Thing must absolutely be there, and then there's Bullets Over Broadway and Shadows and Fog for Woody Allen, and Cradle Will Rock, which absolutely kicks ass.

At the Venice Film Festival this past week, famous film director Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Gladiator) said that he thought that devices like the iPod and downloading services that allow you to watch movies on handheld equipment was going to be the death of film, and that the only way to watch a movie is as the filmmaker intended it, on a big screen with state-of-the-art sound equipment.

In addition, Scott said that too many films of our era were being 'dumbed down' for American audiences, and that filmmakers should stick to their guns to make films of a high quality. Here at TheFeed, we couldn't agree more, which is why we're so high on Norbit, and hoping for a sequel.
