Co-op games can be classified as some of the most difficult out there, because you have to put a lot of trust in your friends (or sometimes strangers) to help you get the job done. 4-player co-op games pose even more of a challenge, but as they say, four times the challenge, four times the fun. Check out the video below of our favorite 4-player co-op games.

Comics legend Stan Lee will be a playable character in The Amazing Spider-Man, true believers! Lee dropped the news while talking to a gentleman with multi-hued hair who works for an outlet called Addict of Fiction.

Beyond the existence of Lee as a playable character in The Amazing Spider-Man, we know nothing else. Is Lee going to play a super-heroic version of himself in the tie-in game, scaling buildings and catching villains? Maybe he'll be a choice in some kind of multiplayer component in the game. Or is Lee going to play a realistic version of a septuagenarian, drinking tea and growing plants in cut-open milk cartoons? Will there be a "Who keeps moving my pills?" mini-game? I've called Activision to get some clarification, and I'll let you know what they say when/if they call back.

Until then, it's open to speculation. Excelsior!

Spider-Man is coming back to theaters this July with a new take on the Marvel superhero directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield. One week earlier, Beenox will unleash its first crack at open-world Spidey in the Activision-published The Amazing Spider-Man, a new trailer now confirms.

The official release date posted at the end of the IGN-exclusive trailer is June 26, with the game coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS and 3DS. You also get to have a look at the villainous Rhino, who appears in a Spider-Man video game for what must be the 43,464,872.091,330th time. Think we'll fight Electro too? How about Scorpion? Maybe a wacky funhouse level with Mysterio?

Don't get me wrong, I'm totally looking forward to more Spidey from Beenox. But everyone's favorite friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man really needs to bulk up his rogue's gallery. And not just with generic giant robots.

The Last Story Coming To U.S.

The Last Story, a formerly Japan-only RPG game, is coming to North America. The Wii-exclusive will be on store shelves this year, so before 2013 starts, Wii gamers will have an ambitious JRPG to mess around with. XSEED games will be doing the U.S. development.

The Last Story enjoyed rave reviews in Japan, earning a 9/10 from Famitsu, and topped sales charts when it was released. Whether its complex story line and unique combat and spell-casting mechanics will translate to Western audiences remains to be seen, but you should definitely keep The Last Story on your "Watch" list.

Retro City Rampage

The open-world crime sim you've been waiting for is lining up its sights for a May release. No, not Grand Theft Auto 5. The other one. That looks like old Grand Theft Auto (plus any number of other classic gems). It's more parody than satire though. Retro City Rampage!

The news is confirmed on Vblank Entertainment's official website for the game. Also revealed is a newly expanded set of launch platforms: Xbox Live Arcade, Windows PC/Steam, WiiWare, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, which arrives this week.

Nintendo Wii

Today, the Nintendo Wii welcomes Hulu Plus to its dashboard. Wii users have been waiting patiently for Hulu Plus for the past few months. For $7.99 a month Wii users will have access to current and past TV shows with limited commercial interruption. The 3DS is still waiting for Hulu Plus access.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Hulu Plus, are you?

Console Check-in

Today, the NPD Group released its January sales figures, and the beginning of 2012 was not good at all. Total consumer spending on video games fell 34 percent to $750.6 million in the US. Video game hardware sales totaled only $324 million, down 38% year over year. That's the worst it's been since January 2004.

"One factor for the double digit declines in new physical software was the lack of new launches, according to NPD analyst Anita Frazier. "New launches in January 2011 represented 13 percent of dollar sales and new launch performance dropped 99 percent in Jan 2012. Games like Dead Space 2, Little Big Planet 2, and DC Universe Online ranked within the top ten last year."

We've all been very patient waiting for VBlank Entertainment to finish off it's exceedingly awesome-looking open world action game, Retro City Rampage. Built in the style of top-down Grand Theft Auto games of old, only with way more ironic comedy and meta-commentary, the WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade release has plenty of retro-loving fans excited.

Yesterday, VBlank released a new chiptune-filled trailer showcasing some more of the spritely gameplay. It's more than just a torturous look at a game you can't play yet though! The trailer ends with big white letters over a black screen touting some "big news" for February 20. Could it possibly, finally be the long-awaited release date? That's what the smart money's on. Hopefully it's not VBlank just yanking our collective chains.

Activision has announced Skylanders Giants, the next game in the Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure series. Activision and developer Toys for Bob will release brand new figures for gamers to collect, and they're, well, giant.

"Skylanders Giants builds upon the breakthrough fundamentals of the first game-merging the physical and virtual realms with an innovative line of cross-platform toy figures that have "brains," which players everywhere can magically bring to life in the world of Skylands," said Activision.

Eight new giant characters will be released and they'll all be more than twice the size of normal Skylanders figures, both out of the box and in the game. They'll also have lights built in and they'll illuminate when they're placed near the Portal of Power. The good news is that you won't have to buy a new Portal of Power for them to work, and all of the characters from Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure will work in Skylanders Giants.

Super Bowl Prediction: Madden Picks The Winner: Giants Beat Patriots

There's no reason to watch the Super Bowl game on February 5. We already know who will win. The New York Giants will beat the New England Patriots 27-24. This is the prediction put forth by Madden NFL 12.

Specifically, kicker Lawrence Tynes kicks a game-winning 40-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Giants past the AFC Champion Patriots, bringing home the Giants’ second Super Bowl championship in four years. So it should be a pretty exciting ending.

Wii U E3 2011

Unnamed sources on the internet (man, those guys know everything!) are claiming that the top men at Nintendo are mulling over whether or not to rename the Nintendo Wii U.

The speculation stems from Nintendo promising investors that the Wii U will learn a "bitter lesson" from the launch of the Nintendo 3DS. One of the perceived problems with the roll out of the Nintendo device was that consumers supposedly confused the 3DS with the Nintendo DS, a mistake that seems pretty easy to make.

Couple that with the announcement of the Wii U at E3 2011, which left many baffled as to what, exactly the device is, and you have a muddled message, according to some. That could lead to a new name for the Wii U.

Mario Party 9 Box Art: Brightly Lit But Light On Luigi

Nintendo released the box art for Mario Party 9 yesterday, and it's notable for a couple reasons. First, it's bright enough to give you an aneurysm, and secondly, poor Luigi is barely even there.

Check out the full box art under the "Read More" tag, and see if you can find Luigi.
