You'll be plowing the North Forty raw with hypest industrial hoons from Case IH, Lamborghini, Grimme, Amazon, and hottest of all, Deutz-Fahr! I'm talking full on tractors, harvesters,and drilling machines, plus, I've heard FS 13 will even be featuring balers, so you can bale your hay all day long!

Farming Simulator 2013 releases on PC on October 25th 2012, and on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Q1 2013.

Fans of violent games are more likely to be reckless drivers, according to a study published in the academic journal, Psychology of Popular Media Culture (my third favorite academic journal).

The research was conducted at Dartmouth College, and involved a series of phone interviews conducted by (presumably mad) scientists. They spoke to thousands of young people over a four year period, and asked them to assess whether video game playing preceded acts of reckless driving.

The researchers found a correlation between violent video game play and reckless driving. Basically, if you report playing violent games, you're more likely to report driving recklessly. According to the study, violent game players are more likely to admit wanting to drink and drive too.

Need for Speed Most Wanted is going super-heavy on the social features when it launches on October 30. The open-world car game will feature CloudCompete, a system that keeps track of your stats in the game across platforms, so that race you won on the bus while playing your Vita will count when you log into your PS3. Cool!

Need for Speed Most Wanted will also feature all cars from the game, open from the start. So no grinding to earn that Bugatti. If you find it, you can drive it, right out of the box.

There are a ton of cars in Forza 4, from humble Ford Gremlins to flashy Bugattis. But until now, there hasn't been a 1962 Lincoln Continental to drive around in. You know, the one with the suicide doors and the hearse-like styling. I like cars that reference Death, so I hereby declare the just-released Lincoln Continental the best car in Forza 4.

Nine other cars have also been unleashed in the "Playseat" pack, including 2013 Mustang, and a 1962 Triumph. Check out the full list under the cut. You can buy  the whole pack for $7, or individual cars for $3.

Fasten your seat belt and let the wind rip through your hair as you watch the latest Need For Speed Most Wanted trailer. Naturally, it features some seriously high-performance cars, including the Corvette ZR1, the Koenigsegg Agera R, and the Hummer H1 Alpha. If I had to go for a ride in only one of them it'd probably be the ZR1. Check it out in the trailer.

Need For Speed Most Wanted will be out on October 30 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The video below is not from a video game. It's real. DC Shoes and stunt-driver Ken Block take the "Gymkhana" series to the streets of San Francisco with Gymkhana 5, a tour-de-force of precision driving that looks like it came right out of Gran Turismo 5 or Grand Theft Auto 4. A Need for Speed movie is in the works. Dreamworks has acquired the movie rights to the franchise, and EA will produce along with John Gatins and Mark Sourian. Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) is attached to direct, and the project will be fast-tracked at DreamWorks with a target production start date for early next year, for a 2014 release.

The film won't be based on a specific Need for Speed game, but is planned instead as a "fast-paced, high-octane film rooted in the tradition of the great car culture films of the 70s while being extremely faithful to the spirit of the video game franchise."

Criterion Games is remaking Need For Speed: Most Wanted, so what's in store for racing fans? Kevin Pereira and Morgan Webb with Criterion's Steve Cuss gives you a gameplay walkthrough of Need For Speed Most Wanted. This is pure, uncut gameplay footage from the racing game, so I know you'll want to click "play."

Word around Hollywood is Electronic Arts is shopping a Need For Speed treatment around town, hoping to entice film-makers to create a Need for Speed movie. Wouldn't that be... something?

Variety reports that EA has hired John Gatins, writer of Real Steel, to develop a pitch for a movie based on Need for Speed. The idea is to make something like The Fast and the Furious out of the game franchise.

Warner Bros., Sony and Paramount are all said to be interested with Paramount being the frontrunner.

X-Play recently caught up with Forza developer Dan Greenwalt, who spoke with us about the new Forza title Forza Horizon, the return of Porsche to the Forza series, and Forza Motorsport 4's March expansion pack, that includes classic vehicles like the Chevrolet Corvair, the Aston Martin, and amazing comic-relief car, the Country Squire station wagon! That's a lot of Forza!

Techland, the company responsible for Dead Island as well as the Call of Juarez games, is releasing a racing game. Mad Riders will be published by Ubisoft, and will be available this spring. You'll be able to download it on PC, or through the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

While Techland's recent output is hit or miss (The excellent Dead Island vs. the terrible Call of Juarez: The Cartel), the company's most current racing title was solid. Nail'd is crazy arcade racing game, and seems pretty similar to the description of Mad Riders, a game with 45 tracks, high speed action, mid-air stunts, nitro boosts and shortcuts. It will also feature full-on online multiplayer where up to 12 racers can drop in and out.

G4 recently sat down with legendary video game designer David Jaffe, and the creator of Twisted Metal gave us the inside word on a bunch of different aspects of the new Twisted Metal experience. He detailed the game's single-player and multiplayer as well as its maps and more on X-Play, and gave us an exclusive look at the Twisted Metal's unlock system.

Judging from our Twisted Metal previews, this is a game you're going to be playing online a lot. So, we thought we'd ask Jaffe a bit about TW's unlock system.

"The unlock system is not just about balance. Choices are the most important thing in the game," Jaffe said. "Every time you level up... you're given, basically, a token, and depending on the level you're at, you almost 'go shopping.'"

Nintendo made an appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show recently and they brought some awesome life size Mario karts with them. The karts, based off of the series Mario Kart, were created by West Coast Customs. There were two custom, life size karts, one for Mario and one for his brother, Luigi. Both karts are giant representations of the actual karts from the upcoming 3DS game Mario Kart 7.

The life size Mario karts will eventually be given away to members of the GameStop PowerUp Rewards program. Winners will be announced in February.

Nintendo has a lot going on this week. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword comes out on November 20 -- days away -- and to get you hyped, Nintendo wants to give you the chance to play the game early. But that's not all. The  Big N is also partnering with those gaming wags over at Penny Arcade for a web-comic, as well as attending the L.A. Auto Show to "unveil an exclusive collaboration" with West Coast Customs for a Mario Kart vehicle "that bridges together the iconic video game racing series and one of the most recognized names in the custom automotive industry."
