The Borderlands 2: Captain Scarlett And Her Pirate's Booty opening cinematic video introduces you to Captain Blade's Lost Treasure of the Sands, a prize so great that men would turn the sand red to find it. It also mentions a pirate queen, Captain Scarlett, who will stop at nothing to get her hands on the hearty loot, and a monstrous leviathan who's probably guarding the treasure with his humungous, deadly tentacles. Following the cinematic, you'll be able to check out some in-game footage from Borderlands 2's new DLC.

Fans are hoping for some killer Skyrim DLC after the so-so "House Armor" release Hearthfire, and newly discovered code in the PC game's latest update hints at just that, in Dragonborn (via OXM). The rumored DLC pack adds a number of new elements to the game, based on the update files, most notably a new feature that allows players to use dragons as mounts. YES.

There are also indications in the update files that the upcoming quest content returns to the land of Morrowind, last seen in The Elder Scrolls 3. There are apparently quest markers for familiar locations from the distant land, including Solstheim, Telvanni, Castle Karstaag, Raven Rock, and Miraak Temple. It also appears that some new armor types are being added to the game: Bonemold, Chitin, Nordin, and Stalhrim.

It's all unconfirmed rumor until Bethesda goes on record with confirmation, but seeing as this info all comes from the latest PC game update, it's probably okay to get your hopes up. At least a little bit.

All Call of Duty Elite services for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be free when the game launches in November, Activision has announced. Call of Duty Elite currently offers extra services and features for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, like Player HQ, Clan HQ, and Call of Duty Elite TV, as well as guaranteed early access to downloadable map packs for a subscription fee.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Elite Integration Trailer »

"What we have realized is that several of the Call of Duty Elite services which are currently only available to our premium members for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 are things that would further unite, engage and delight our player community. So we are going to make them free for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2," said Activision Publishing CEO, Eric Hirshberg.

Everyone loves free, but we're kind of surprised by the move considering that Call of Duty elite sold one million premium membership in its first week when the service debuted. To make up for the difference this time around, Activision has also announced that they'll be selling four DLC Map Pack for Black Ops 2 as part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season Pass.

The CoD: Black Ops 2 Season Pass will be available for $50 and come to the Xbox 360 first. The maps included will bring new multiplayer and zombie content to players, and each pack will be available individually for $15 for anyone who wants them. In total, those who pick up the Season Pass will save $10.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 launches on November 13, 2012.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Elite Integration Trailer »

Call of Duty Elite is back in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and a newly released trailer takes a look at how it all fits together. A lot of the core features from Modern Warfare 3's v1.0 have been expanded for Elite's second year, including the addition of a section for Zombies stats and the ability to easily copy someone else's Pick 10 class build into your own profile.

Other features are returning as well. Clans and clan-based challenges/contests are back, with players permitted to continue sticking with their group from Modern Warfare 3. Elite TV returns as well in some form, though there's no mention of what sort of programming might be planned.

The trailer focuses entirely on Call of Duty Elite's free features, with no mention at all of a subscription package or DLC plans. There are rumors coming out of the U.K. of a £34.99 season pass amounting to four DLC drops that will be priced at £14.99 individually (via MP1st), but nothing's been confirmed by Acitivision on that front just yet.

Metro Last Light

When Metro: Last Light arrives in early 2013, it won't feature any multiplayer modes. THQ and 4A Games had hinted at the inclusion of an online component, but a new post on the game's official website confirms that such plans have been scrapped.

"Throughout the development of Metro: Last Light a small, dedicated team had been working on a number of multiplayer prototypes," the post reads. "After E3, we decided to fold this multiplayer team back into the main group and focus 100% of the studio’s resources on the single player campaign. As a result, Metro: Last Light will not ship with a multiplayer component."

It's possible that Last Light will one day be updated to include a multiplayer mode, but for now, 4A is "100% focused on the single player campaign and not thinking beyond that." Were any of you looking forward to this multiplayer mode, or is story all you care about in a Metro game, as the post suggests?

Sleeping Dogs

The first story-based DLC for United Front Games' excellent Sleeping Dogs is confirmed to be arriving on October 30, 2012. The "Nightmare in Northpoint" pack adds some Halloween-themed supernatural kung fu flavor to the open world adventure, as a New York Comic Con trailer revealed.

According to United Front, the DLC pack is similar in scope to Red Dead Redemption's "Undead Nightmare" pack, a game expansion which added roughly six hours of story and a Wild West filled with zombies to Rockstar's release. Footage from the NYCC panel has yet to be officially posted online, but you can head over to Kotaku to check out some spycam video.

Borderlands 2: Captain Scarlett And Her Pirate’s Booty is the next DLC coming to the successful first-person shooter Borderlands 2. In this gameplay video, you'll meet Shade, your new  BFF, and get to check out a few of the new areas in Oasis that await you in the expansion. While out on the adventure you'll even meet Captain Scarlett for the first time too.

Borderlands 2: Captain Scarlett And Her Pirate’s Booty has a pirate theme and adds new enemies to the game, as well as a skiff vehicle.

"You can sense the pirate theme across the landscape, even though there's no water," said Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford. "It's all dried up. It feels more like Tatooine than an ocean. These bandits have really embraced the pirate lifestyle, and there's the legend of a treasure. That kicks off this whole adventure that the players can go on."

Captain Scarlett is set to sail on October 16, 2012.

The Last of Us: Eight Pittsburgh Locations We Can't Wait to See in Ruins

A graphic novel for The Last of Us was announced today at New York Comic-Con. The main focus of the Dark Horse published comic will be Ellie's life before the events of The Last of Us.  The graphic novel will be penned by Naughty Dog's Neil Druckman and contributing author on Steam-Powered stories, Rachel Edidin.

“In Ellie’s world, when you enter into its version of middle school, you can either choose to become a soldier and go out and fight, or you can say no and go out to fend for yourself with the other survivors,” Druckman said during the NYCC panel. “Those are the two ways a teenager can live in this world. Ellie believes there is a third way."

When it comes to unlocking achievements in Dishonored, there is really no right or wrong way to go about it. Experimentation and creative thinking define the Dishonored gameplay experience, and the same goes for snagging those precious cheevos. Outside of the achievements that you’ll unlock simply by progressing through the story, and pulling off standard actions like “Assassinate 10 unaware enemies,” there are some that require certain powers and even certain environments to pull off.

So without further ado, here are some tips to help you pick up these rewarding accolades as you journey across Dunwall on the hunt for your revenge.

Dishonored Achievement Tips -- Corvo, Cheevos, and You...vo

1. King of the World (Reach the top of Kaldwin's Bridge): This is a location based achievement that you get for climbing to the top of drawbridge portion of Kaldwin’s Bridge. There’s no real trick to this one (other than just realizing it’s possible), and there’s only one way up, so just keep looking up and blinking between beams, climbing a chain or two as you find them, and eventually you’ll pop out on top of the bridge, and be able to cross it without any interference from any pesky guards patrolling below.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Zombies Mode Screens Shamble Forth

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's zombie mode will feature theater capability.  According to Treyarch's Mark Lamia, you'll be able to record, play and save your favorite moments from your zombie gameplay, and create your own version of Dawn of the Dead with your pals.

There will be a lot to take movies of in Black Ops 2's zombie mode, don't worry, particulalry in "Tranzit" mode. The co-op gameplay type will feature open-world style gameplay that sees zombie hunters riding on a huge bus. You'll travel from map to map, running down undead hordes. Like everything else in the haunted world of Black Ops 2's zombies, the bus is not safe. Gangs of the undead will attack your vehicle as you travel. They'll try to overtake you and eat your sweet, sweet brains, so keep your foot on the gas and your eyes on the rearview. But take lots of pictures.

NHL 13

EA Sports is planning to simulate the 2012-2013 professional hockey season in order to ensure that NHL 13 is supported, at least to some extent, by real-time data. Like other EA Sports titles, the recently released NHL 13 is fueled in part by data and roster updates based on the real-life movements of the 2012-2013 pro hockey season.

The NHL is a bit of a mess right now with the season's start delayed as the team owners and NHL Player's Association remain locked in a labor dispute. The October 11, 2012 start of the season has already been postponed until October 25, and it could slip out even further if an agreement isn't reached soon. EA has already simmed week one and will continue doing so for the forseeable future. Check out week one results right here.

At least someone seems to care about pro hockey. The people who make millions each year overseeing and playing the games sure don't seem to.
