Batman is dead in the comic universe. Thankfully that won't stop Eidos and Rocksteady Studios from releasing Batman: Arkham Asylum this August on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. G4tv.com has managed to snag some play time with the game and work our way through a few of the early areas of the game, and so far, Arkham Asylum is just flat-out impressive.
From the solid-yet-simple combat system to the cinematic presentation, this Batman game is not only showing respect to the franchise, but it's doing so with a style all its own.

Fight Night Round 4 drops next week for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but we've already been putting the game through its paces here at the office. Up first, we're showing off the game's improved "Legacy Mode", which starts off with the boxer's first amateur tournament and follows him throughout his entire career. You can also elect to play this mode as one of the real world boxers, by the way.
Instead of just choosing your next fight like in Fight Night Round 3 followed by one training minigame, the career in Round 4 follows a calendar. You'll have to account for things like recovery time and training days before each fight. Do you cram in as many fights as possible without fitting in a lot of training or do you hit the gym and build your stats for a few big fights?
Additionally, Round 4's Legacy Mode is built around the fact that all boxers must retire. The question is, what will your boxer's record and standing be when age finally gets the best of him?
First 15: Fight Night Round 4 Legacy Mode
Also, be sure to read my hands-on preview for Fight Night Round 4.

Some of the supporting voice cast from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, give us an interview at E3 2009, talking about their roles in the game.
Emily Rose (Elena Fisher), says that she's relieved that Naughty Dog has offiicially unveiled Elena's return for the sequel. "In the first game, she's a lot younger, she's a lot more naive, and she looks at things as being very possible, and in the second (game), has seen murders and adventure...the way that any person grows, you see that in her. She's a little bit more hesitant, a little more cynical," Rose says.
Actors Claudia Black (Chloe Frazer), and Robin Atkin-Downs (Tenzin) also provide some perspective on the way the game has changed through the eyes of their characters in it. Take a look, and answer the question below:
Uncharted director Amy Hennig has said in interviews that the game's characters are visually inspired by their voices more than any particular famous Hollywood faces. Would you agree?

Nolan North, who plays hero Nathan Drake in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, gives us an interview about his perspective on the role he plays in the game, Nathan's job as the hero, and the style of the game itself, in this E3 2009 interview.
"It's interesting to come to E3 and walk around and say 'I did that,' but then it blows your mind to see what the animators have done," North says.
So now you've seen the man behind Nathan Drake (and the rebooted Prince of Persia). Tell us, does it weird you out when you see the voices behind your favorite game characters?

God of War III Game Director Stig Asmussen discusses wrapping up a trilogy, the future of a mega-franchise and the gory benefits provided by the PlayStation 3's processing power in this E3 2009 interview.
Hoping for that special collector's edition with the two original games on Blu-Ray? Not so fast.
"As far as a collector's edition with God of War I and II on Blu-Ray... I'd love it" Stig reveals. "I think it would be awesome if we did that. I can tell you that our team is not doing that. If it's happening it's news to me."

More than meets the eye? You might have noticed in your daily commute or web surf a lil' summer movie sequel about transforming automaton robots. Yes, the original brought us Megan Fox, flaming Optimus Prime and Disney Channel's Even Stevens' star Shia LaBeouf coming into his own, but an underwhelming, multiplatform game as well. Now then, as we await the feature film sequel, what do we have in store for the gaming sequel counterpart?
Join LuxoFlux Associate Producer Adrian Murphy as he takes us through a direct-feed playthrough riddled with destruction, LaBeouf, Bumblebee, Starscream, and the mighty Devastator for Activision's movie tie-in, action game Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

While the "June gloom" continues to drape Los Angeles in a blanket of temperate, comfortable despair (I don't recall moving to Seattle...), summer has arrived in another thriving metropolis: Paradise City. The construction crews are done and the bridge has been opened to Big Surf Island, an automotive playground that lies east of downtown. The expansion for Burnout Paradise is available today, but I had the chance to bomb around the beach a couple months ago for an advance preview.
As you cross the bridge you'll notice that the Paradise City urban planners hired some whacked-out contractors: what would be impassable to regular cars is a launching pad for your turbo-charged vehicles. Before you even get to the island, there's a strong temptation to make multiple passes on the bridge's Super Jump. Once that's been satiated, the island tour begins. And that's actually what one of the two new events is called: Island Tour. Since Big Surf is a more concentrated serving of Burnout, most races last long enough to take you through most of the area. Different Tours will take you on different routes through the city zones and the coastal roads to get you familiar with the terrain, and the path layout feels a bit more natural than the rigid city grid, which can at times be disorienting.

We were already impressed with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves which won Best Game of The Show from E3 2009 on X-Play, but here's a more visual look with this direct-feed gameplay demo from the game. With all those flying bullets, climbing across walls and jumping between buildings, Uncharted 2 looks more like an action adventure movie than a videogame.

The one word that I could not help uttering almost constantly during my eyes-on time with NetDevil’s space-based MMO Jumpgate Evolution (PC) during E3 2009 was "Wow." NetDevil president Scott Brown demoed a few levels for me, and only gave me the briefest of views of a few battle scenarios and settings, and yet for as little as I saw, I found myself grinning and shaking my head in awe throughout the entire presentation.
Brown reinforced at several points during the demo that Jumpgate is a full-blown MMO in every capacity, and yet, it's also designed for traditionally action-minded players. This is most apparent in the game's combat system, which is based on skill as opposed to statistical probabilities. Also, rather than forcing players to grind away for dozens upon dozens of hours in order to reach the point where combat, and the game in general, is satisfying and enjoyable, ranking up in skill level happens quickly. This ensures that the game's barrier to entry is substantially lower than your typical massively-multiplayer online game.

Karaoke games get a bad rap: sure, there's nothing all that exciting about the concept, and if you're playing it at home alone, it's a little pathetic, but sometimes, when the mood is right, a little drunken caterwauling is good clean fun. Karaoke video games are also versatile: are you and the family feeling a little bored after Thanksgiving dinner? Bust out Karaoke Revolution and you can avoid uncomfortable conversation with Conservative Uncle Carl.
There isn't all that much to say about the basic mechanics of Karaoke Revolution: You pick a song. The words, pitch, and timing scroll, then you grab the mic and go off. So it's the details that make the difference, and from my brief E3 2009 look, this game gets the details right.
