Obama Coming To Comic-Con?

Posted by Mike D'Alonzo - Friday, March 14, 2008 2:48 PM

Barack Obama might be courting the ever-important geek vote by reaching out to Comic-Con in the hopes of making an appearance there, according to reports. No, we are not kidding. Now, we've got no idea what Senator Obama might be wanting to do there, aside from the fact that he could very well be a comic book fan, but we think it's pretty damn cool, nonetheless.

Wouldn't it be hilarious to see Obama at the convention engaged in some cosplay, or waiting in line to meet Brian Michael Bendis or some such? Now that's the audacity of hope, friends, and we LOVE it.

<Praya> Hey adam, if Code Monkeys went live action who would you want acting as Dave and Jerry?

<Adam_de_la_Pena> Black Steve would be played by Morgan Freeman

'Wrong Turn 2' Photo Gallery

Posted by Mike D'Alonzo - Monday, July 30, 2007 11:44 AM

Our old friend, Joe Lynch, director of Wrong Turn 2, sent us some photos of he and his booth at Comic-Con last week, and we were happy to get them.

The best part? It'd have to be a tie between Joe giving Hatchet the finger and the cool swag from the booth which, if you'll look closely, is actually a girl having been cut in half.

Noice.

New 'Lost' Dharma Video

Posted by Mike D'Alonzo - Monday, July 30, 2007 9:55 AM

Oh, those jokers at Lost! There's a new Dharma Initiative video that aired at Comic-Con, and we think it's kind of meant to be tongue-in-cheek, although there is a fair amount of yelling and panic in it as relates to some bunnies with the number 15 burned into their fur. High-larious!

At this point, we've stopped speculating as to what these videos could mean, and just resigned ourselves to the fact that these people are clearly f**king with us, and we like it. So, we're gonna ride this Lost thing out, once and for all, even if it turns out at the end that the whole thing was a dream, or an autistic kid's vision of life inside a snowglobe, or whatever.

LucasArts Announces 'LEGO Indiana Jones'

Posted by Brian Leahy - Sunday, July 29, 2007 7:30 AM

The LEGO Star Wars games are some of the best out there and definitely TheFeed's favorite Star Wars game of recent memory.

Imagine our surprise when LucasArts announced that the same team responsible for the LEGO Star Wars games will be making LEGO Indiana Jones: The Videogame!

We cannot wait. The game will cover the first three Indy flicks and they say the game will be ready for a Summer 2008 release onto consoles.

In a press release, they said, "It has been a real joy to work with LucasArts on the LEGO Star Wars games. Indiana Jones is the perfect character for the next LEGO-based videogame adventure,” said Tom Stone, director at TT Games. “Indy also presents us with wonderful and memorable cinematic moments. The boulder scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark in LEGO is hilarious!”

Comic-Con: Hollywood At Comic-Con

Posted by Mike D'Alonzo - Saturday, July 28, 2007 6:00 AM

Today on TheLoop from Comic-Con '07 Live, the topic was an interesting one. Has Hollywood taken over Comic-Con? Is it all just a marketing shillfest? Or has it remained true to the original spirit of the convention? The debate raged on. Who won?

You're just going to have to judge for yourself.
