In an interview with Fresh Ink’s Blair Butler, comic book author Mark Millar said he’d like to make a trilogy of films for a re-booted Superman series, and it might happen. Millar's vision for a new Superman:
"I've had this plan for like 10 years for a big three-picture Superman thing, like a Lord of the Rings epic, starting over from scratch again with a seven-hour Superman story. One to be released each year." Millar said.
Millar says there's nothing firm yet, but he hopes to get word over the next few weeks. If everything goes perfectly, they'll be shooting next summer. Check it out below:

Do you like movies? Do you like art? Do you like artistic interpretations of cult films? Can I stop asking you questions now?
Last week, the Crazy4Cult 2 art show opened at Gallery 1988, hosted by none other than Kevin Smith and his producer, Scott Mosier. After the success of last year's Crazy4Cult show, Kevin immediately agreed to continue the tradition for at least another year, and chances are for many more years to come. This year's show is three-times as big as last year, with over 150 pieces of art commemorating films like The Wizard of OZ, Donnie Darko, Strange Brew, and Total Recall just to name a few. To cover this marriage of film and canvas, we sent our very own Blair Butler for a special artsy-fartsy edition of Geek Out. Enjoy getting some culture.
If you're in or anywhere near Los Angeles, you owe it to yourself to check out Crazy4Cult 2 in person at Gallery1988 on Melrose at La Brea. The show runs thru Sept 12th.

We told you to come back this week. Did you think we were lying? What do you think we are, a bunch of frakkin' Cylons?
Last week, Blair Butler took you backstage with BSG Composer Bear McCreary and the musicians of the BSG Orchestra when they performed live at the Roxy in Los Angeles. Well, you wanted to see more music, and that's exactly what we have for you today.
Check out these two concert videos we've put together featuring Bear and the BSG Orchestra, as they perform Fight Night and Roslin & Adama.

This past Tax Day, April 15th, a very special event took place at the Roxy in Los Angeles, California. Nerds from all over crowded together for a sold-out show where composer Bear McCreary brought the music of Battlestar Galactica to a live concert venue.
We were the only ones given full access to everyone and everything inside the club. Sure we could be selfish and keep all the BSG-sweetness for ourselves, but we're not like that. We're about sharing.
Bear, his brother Brendan, the lovely Raya Yarbrough, and the Galactica's own Kandyse McClure all found time to sit down with us and talk about this unique concert event that brought musicians, performers, and geeks together like nothing has before.
This is the only place where you can see this footage! Also, be sure to check back next week, where we'll have some more BSG Live surprises up our sleeve.

On this special edition of Geek Out, we travel to Gallery 1988 to take a look at their newest art show, "Toys," featuring works of art influenced by the toys the artists love. Also, 40 artists customized 6x9" Hot Wheels vans to sell for charity, so that's nice. Watch it, and see.

EDIT: To answer some of the questions in the comments section... this movie will go straight to DVD. Since its a Sony film lets all hope that means Blu-ray too.
You can learn more about the film here.

There is a massively awesome art show going on right now in Los Angeles.
Gallery 1988 is currently sporting Under the Influence: A Tribute to Stan Lee, where literally dozens of talented and recognizable artists have created works in their own style that pay personal homage to the characters and influence of one Stan "The Man" Lee. Perhaps you've heard of him.
TheFeed chased down and snuck in behind Blair Butler as she attended opening night. Incredibly, she allowed our Geek Out team to shoot her while she shot the shoot with a grip of gifted artists, Gallery 1988's bounding and boundless curator Jensen Karp and...wait for it...no, really...stop it, you're killing us...The Marvelous One himself.
We swear on our mothers, it's the truth. The video below proves it. The only problem was that we had to go back and redub everybody's voices, as the original audio was rendered useless by the relentless sound of jaws hitting the floor.
For Paste-Pot Pete's sake, don't miss this show.
Under the Influence: A Tribute to Stan Lee runs only until this Friday, Feb.1.

Blair Butler had the unique opportunity to spend some time as an inmate of an asylum...a scary asylum full of some of the creepiest creatures you've ever seen in your life. Watch as the Geek Out queen spends a little time getting scared at Knott's Scary Farm's Halloween Haunt, and then turns the tables on some unfortunate guests.
It's a scream. No, literally, a scream. Watch.

In a Geek Out special, we're going to spend the next five days getting to know 30 Days of Night author Steve Niles really, really well. Blair Butler, the queen of the geeks, got to hang with the man over the course of one momentous afternoon, during which he talked about anything and everything we could think of to ask him.
We call it 5 Days of Niles. Clever, right? We thought so.
Anyway, here's Day 1: In the Beginning, where Steve tells us all about his beginnings in the comic business.
