Paper Mario: Sticker Star was one of the games detailed at Nintendo's E3 2012 3DS showcase. It will be released this holiday. Some details for the game were revealed, the most important being the stickers. Stickers are going to help you on your journey and in every battle. They can be acquired through quests, events, and exploration. Stickers can be stored and used to help overcome obstacles too. By pressing Y you can activate "paperization," allowing you to see the scene as a piece of paper, applying stored stickers into the scene.

Nintendo has confirmed that New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo 3DS will feature a fully co-op campaign. The announcement came during Nintendo's 15th E3 2012 press conference, which was centered specifically on its upcoming 3DS lineup.

The full single-player game can be played with a buddy, but you have to stick together. If one player gets too far ahead, the lagging player will appear in a bubble floating around the faster player until that bubble is popped. If you are an especially cruel co-op partner, you'll most likely get a kick out of making your friend watch as you go on your coin collecting spree.

Speaking of coins, New Super Mario Bros. 2 is all about the gold, as you may have guessed from the gameplay trailer. Coins spew from blocks, sand, enemies, and even random portions of the environment. There are also red rings that turn enemies into gold if you jump through them. You can also snag a golden fireflower, which lets you turn anything you hit into coins.

Disney Epic Mickey: The Power of Illusion for the 3DS now has a release date: November 18, 2012.

This is great news for Disney Epic Mickey fans since it’s the same date that Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two lands on the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii.

The Power of Illusion, being developed by Dreamrift, gives players the chance to explore a classic Disney game setting, the Castle of Illusion, as they fight to free classic Disney characters who have been imprisoned by the evil Mizrabel.

The game includes the Epic Mickey signature painting/thinning mechanic, will feature plenty of old-school locations and characters from the expansive library of Disney games that have been released over the years, and should more than scratch the itch of any 3DS-owning Disney lover.

G4 has announced its Best of E3 2012 nominees! This year’s field of games is one of the best we’ve ever seen, and that means we can all look forward to countless hours of unbelievable gaming experiences over the coming months and months. For the time being, we wanted to call particular attention to what we feel are the best of the best of E3 2012. Hence, the following list of nominees.

This year’s most attention-grabbing games includes everything from AAA blockbusters to downloadable titles and everything in between. To say that the upcoming slate of games has something for everyone would be a gross understatement, as you can see by the full Best of E3 2012 list below!

In this WWE '13 Gameplay Demo with Sheamus from E3 2012, the wrestling superstar takes over the stage from Kevin Pereira and Blair Herter with his unabashed enthusiasm for the latest edition of this popular series.

Amid vague references to the marketing campaign to "Live the Revolution", the main focus of the demo is the WWE '13 Attitude Era Mode that allows you the chance to relive classic feuds involving WWE superstars like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mankind and The Undertaker. 

During matches, side objectives help recreate the most memorable moments and unlock bonuses and secret achievements. One such moment, Mark Henry's ring-breaking suplex of The Big Show, looks better in the game than it did live.

In our Resident Evil 6 hands-on preview from E3 2012, Jake Gaskill details his experience playing as Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield. While it's fantastic to play as both characters in RE6, sometimes they got too close for comfort due to tight camera angles. Ammo, on the other hand, was always out of sight - a staple of the Resident Evil series that hasn't changed. What has been upgraded is the look of the creepy level designs, as Jake notes:

"The environments were the standout for this section, mostly because there wasn’t anything else to do besides look around at the dark wood balconies and banisters and ornate chandeliers kissed with moonlight swaying eerily overhead. Occasional lightning created the proper haunted house feel that early RE games did so well, and moving through a pitch black ransacked ballroom with nothing but a head-mounted flashlight definitely had me on the edge of my seat, at least for the first five minutes or so."

Load up on as much ammo and herb as your inventory will allow and read our Resident Evil 6 preview prior to the game's October 2 release date. Your survival may depend on it.

This Zumba Fitness Core preview with Sara Underwood from the E3 2012 floor show should get everyone in the mood to work it!  She teams up with Zumba trainer Gina Grant to show you how interactive this version of Zumba is using the motion technology of the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii consoles.

Majesco Entertainment focuses on your core with this release which is what really separates this title from other Zumba games.  Don’t worry, it’s not all work, there is plenty of play, dancing and licensed music to keep your heart rate up.  You also have the option to select which different types of Zumba classes you want to take.  In a typical Zumba fitness class you can burn up to 1,000 calories but with Zumba Fitness Core, depending on how long you can keep the groove,  you can burn much more.

According to Sara Underwood the experience was “hard but fun” and although she was talking about the game that is indeed.. what she said.

South Park: The Stick of Truth, Obsidian Entertainment’s over-the-top RPG, is the funniest, most offensive, and joyfully ridiculous game on display at E3 2012, at least that was our own Leah Jackson’s takeaway after seeing The Stick of Truth in action. Here’s a taste:

"As you continue to wander along through South Park, only Butters, the lamest kid of all, will play with you. Butters tells you that he'll take you to a powerful wizard's castle, which really turns out to be Cartman house. Once you arrive at Cartman's, the fatass shows you around his make-shift medieval military base, complete with sandbox stables, all the while referring to you as Douchebag."

For our latest hands-on look at Gearbox Software’s spooky shooter Aliens: Colonial Marines, straight from the E3 2012 showfloor, Adam “Xeno Hater” Rosenberg gets in some quality hands-on time with the game’s frantic multiplayer mode on a newly revealed map, Origin. For anyone still bummed about  Colonial Marines being delayed, let Adam’s soothing prose ease your worrying:

"It's also worth noting that Colonial Marines seems to have come a long way since its first public hands-on demonstration in March. Visually, the lighting seems all that much sharper. A map like Origin highlights it well too, with lots of spotlights casting long shadows in different directions. The controls also just feel tighter and more responsive. Gearbox undoubtedly made the right choice in pushing the release back to February 12, 2013, but things certainly seem to be coming along nicely."

Our The Cave preview digs more deeply into the next adventure game from Double Fine Productions and The Secret of Monkey Island designer Ron Gilbert. No, this isn't Double Fine's $3 million crowd-funded adventure game - that game is simply known as Double Fine Adventure. But, as previewer Jason Wishnov points out, The Cave is a game worth looking into.

"The Cave is an interesting title, blending the old-style puzzles of LucasArts adventure games with the modern trappings of a 2-D platformer…think Shadow Complex meets Day of the Tentacle. The Cave…who, by the way, is sentient, and narrates your adventures with a deep, gravelly voice…is the destination of seven heroes, all searching for something important."

Our Dance Central 3 preview called for sending our most confident dancer to E3 2012 - after all Usher is a part of this game - so of course we picked Dana. Sure, she says that the new modes in Dance Central 3 “sound terrifying,” but don’t let that damage control talk fool you one bit. She’s got the moves like Jagger.

“In our demo, we took a look at two mini-games in particular: Keep the Beat and Make Your Move. Remember what I was saying about really knowing how to dance? Well, here we go. With Keep the Beat, two members in your crew bust their own moves. That's right. Dance moves that come from your brain. You have to do moves in time with the music, and the game scores you on how well you do. When one player pulls ahead of the other player (a small crown will appear above their head), their opponent can steal the move by doing what they are doing. If you do the same move too much, however, the game will penalize you.”

Watch the Resident Evil 6 E3 2012 gameplay demo that stars all your favorite characters from the series with your favorite G4 hosts Kevin Pereira and Morgan Webb, joined by Capcom's Miguel Corti.

That is right, RE6 has an all-star cast bringing back Leon Scott Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Sherry Birkin and Ada Wong.  New characters debut as well that bring together all the individual storylines of the protagonists to help make sense of the epic plot that is the Resident Evil franchise.  The drama thickens when Albert Wesker’s son, Jake, is introduced whose blood may be of significant interest for Ada and her evil plans. 

Capcom has listened to our prayers making it safe to use the Z-word; Zombie!  The zombie apocalypse that you must face takes place in China with a large population of infected civilian casualties.  Keeping in mind what has worked in the past, such as the two-player co-op or second-player AI, Capcom introduces new features such as the option to drop-in and drop-out at the next load screen.  The Mercenaries mode that was available in Resident Evil 4 when you beat the game is now available as a mode to play anytime you'd like in Resident Evil 6.

As Leon said in the trailer "this is not my lucky day" but your lucky day will come October 2, 2012, when RE6 comes out on Xbox 360 and PS3.  Until then, check out this gameplay demo to learn more!

Watch this Spec Ops: The Line gameplay demo with 2K Lead Designer Cory Davis, Blair Herter and Morgan Webb from E3 2012 and enjoy a G4 exclusive look at co-op gameplay. 

Hoping to present a realistic emotional battlefield, 2K blurs the ethical line with combat situations that aren't explicitly right or wrong. To that end, they get inspiration from Joseph Conrad's The Heart of Darkness, where sand functions as a force of a nature, a character, and even a weapon against your enemies.  

The single player option offers a deep character evolution; while, the co-op option offers free bonus content that allows new insight into the situations and characters one encounters in single player mode. 

Given all that, Spec Ops: The Line is still a third-person shooter, so unqiue and modern weaponry is plentiful.  Burn enemies with  white phosphorous or devastate their cover and their bodies with the awesome AA-12 (Auto Assault) shotgun.
