Diablo 3 Beta Barbarian Guide:

We've put together this Diablo 3 Beta Barbarian guide to get you up to speed on the most furious class coming to Blizzard’s upcoming action role playing game. This handy guide gives you all the most important info about the Barbarian from the Diablo 3 beta at a glance.

You Should Play A Barbarian If: If you love charging into the heat of battle and dominating your enemies with strong melee attacks, or tanking damage for your allies, then the Barbarian is for you. Specializing in fighting against multiple opponents, a Barb's "quick weapon swings whittle down the number of weaker foes in seconds, while their slower, ground-shaking slams and stomps can send approaching hordes reeling and crack the armor of mightier foes."

Background: The Barbarian is the only class that exists in both Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. They're a tough melee class who have been shaped to be "as strong and unyielding as stone." As they're the only class to carry over from the previous games, their story has evolved from where we last left them. Twenty years after the events in D2 devastated their culture, Barbarians are now a nomadic people who wander around Sanctuary looking for battles in order to forget about their broken homeland.

The key features of the Barbarian include melee mastery, brutal attacks, shouts, and taking hits. With their melee mastery, Barbarians can swing mighty weapons that ordinary warriors would never be able to lift. They use this ability to fight with full-sized weapons in both hands. A Barbarian's brutal attacks allow them to quite literally knock the bones completely out of their foes.

Diablo 3 Details - Demon Hunter intro, New Traits and Skills, Talisman

We've put together this Diablo 3 Beta Demon Hunter guide to get you up to speed on the most relentless class coming to Blizzard’s upcoming action role playing game. This handy guide gives you all the most important info on the Demon Hunter from the Diablo 3 beta at a glance.

You Should Play A Demon Hunter If: If you love standing back and slaying enemies from afar, or finding the most strategic way to take down a monster, then the Demon Hunter could be for you. Specializing in ranged weaponry and traps, Demon Hunters, unlike some of the other Diablo 3 classes, need to take their environment into account when bringing down their enemies.

Background: Demon Hunters are a group of fanatical warriors who have but one purpose: to avenge their friends and families who were butchered by demons and hellspawn. Every arrow that a Demon Hunter launches is, "dipped in spite" and "delivered with hatred." This fuels them to keep hunting, as every demon who falls to their deadly attacks makes the world that much safer.

Diablo 3 Demon Hunter Cinematic Trailer »

The key features of the Demon Hunter include ranged weapons, shadow magic, traps, and battle tactics. A Demon Hunter has more precision with a ranged weapon than any other class in Diablo 3, and they use this extra skill to equip various artillery like longbows, grenades, hand-thrown weapons, and even dual-wielded crossbows. With shadow magic, the Demon Hunter can cloak themselves and slip between the shadows to sneak up on their enemies.

Background: Also known as spiritual warriors, Witch Doctors of the Umbaru Tribe are are new to the Diablo universe. According to the lore, only a few select men and women among the tribe can ascend to the role as they must possess the talent for communicating with spirits.

The key features of the Witch Doctor include pets, elemental attacks, curses, hexes, and battlefield control. Diablo 3 Beta Monk Guide

We've put together this Diablo 3 Beta Monk guide to get you up to speed on the hardest hitting devout class coming to Blizzard’s upcoming action role playing game. This handy guide gives you all the most important info on the Monk from the Diablo 3 beta at a glance.

You Should Play A Monk If: If you love being in the heat of battle and dealing a ton of damage very fast while also having the versatility to help out your party members, then the Monk would be the perfect fit for you. Monks are a melee class that move fast and deal extreme damage faster. With palm strikes, crescent kicks, and high maneuverability, the Monk is for those who want to do damage and then get out of the fight as fast as possible, as they can't sustain as much damage as they can dish out.

Background: Monks are brand new to the Diablo 3 universe but they seem like a crossover from Diablo 2's Assassin, Paladin, and Barbarian classes. Yes I know there were Monks in Diablo Hellfire expansion, but Blizzard has said that the Diablo 3 Monk has no relation to the original one in the first expansion, so this is a brand new class. These sacred warriors can channel the divine power of the Sahptev faith and use healing waves, mantras of protection, and attacks empowered with holy might. Through their training, Monks learn, "skills that allow them to master both unarmed combat and a diverse array of weapons."

You Should Play A Wizard If:  If you love standing far away from enemies and blowing them up from a distance, then the Wizard will be perfect for you. Wizards are generally described as a glass canon class, as they deal tons of destructive damage but can't take too much direct fire from enemies as they're rather low on health compared to some other classes.

Background: Officially, Wizards are renegade spell casters who "use their bodies as vessels for arcane energy, forsaking the more careful path favored by other magic users." They don't care about the caution and safety that mages and sorcerers learn in the academies throughout Sanctuary. Instead, they use arcane power to disintegrate, burn, and freeze their foes while also having the ability to manipulate light and time to teleport, create illusions, and deflect oncoming attacks.
