Chrono Trigger Receives An ESRB Rating For The Wii

Square Enix announced the Square Enix Market at the Tokyo Game Show which the company will use to offer their games and apps for Android devices. As an Android owner I've been quite jealous of iOS users who got access to Square games, so this is just awesome for me. However, before we get too excited I should note that the market is currently scheduled to launch later this year and only in Japan.

Games that are coming to the Android and the iOS market include the famous Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy Legends, Itadaki Street, and Dragon Quest Monsters. Final Fantasy 1, Final Fantasy 2, Chaos Rings, Chaos Rings Omega, and Crystal Defenders were all shown for the Android marketplace as well.

Hopefully the SE Market will come over to the United States early next year, as I'd love to play some of these games on my phone when I'm on the go. Would you be interested in some classic Square Enix games on your Android device, or are you set with Game Dev Story and Angry Birds?

Katamari Damacy Announced For The PlayStation Vita -- Roll Up All The Things

Namco Bandai announced that a new version of Katamari Damacy is coming for the PlayStation Vita. The game is just called Katamari Damacy for now, and according to Namco, the game "will use the console’s unique front touch screen and rear touch pad to bring fingertip control to the series for the first time."

You'll once again be playing as the adorable Prince as the King of All Cosmos sends you on tasks to roll up just about everything. You'll be rolling up items large and small, inanimate and alive, from ants all the way up Mount Fuji. With the Vita version of the game, you'll be able to use the rear touch pad of the system to stretch the ball horizontally or vertically to pick up more objects or squeeze through gaps.

I love every single Katamari Damacy game and find them all equally charming and hilarious. With the new gameplay elements that allow you to stretch the ball around, I'm sure the team will put out something even more imaginative than ever before.

Are you excited for a Katamari Damacy title for the PlayStation Vita?

When Final Fantasy 13-2 releases on January 31 (my birthday!) familiar faces Snow and Hope from Final Fantasy 13 will both be making appearances. As Snow was Serah's love interst in the first game, I'm interested to see how he'll be integrated this time around. As for Hope, I'll just say that I really, really didn't like Hope so I'm not too excited to see him again. Hopefully he's more mature and interesting this time around. Check out the Japanese trailer below to see Hope and Snow's updated character models.

What do you think? Are you excited to see these characters back for the second time in Final Fantasy 13-2, or did you have enough of them the first time around?

Soulcalibur 5 Screenshots: See Ivy, Natsu And Zwei In Action

Namco Bandai did some talking yesterday at Tokyo Game Show, confirming release plans for a number of its upcoming games. The highlight for many will be Soulcalibur V, which is expected to see a global release sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

The Nintendo 3DS title Tekken 3D Prime Edition will be arriving at around the same time, only there's a more specific window of February 2012 for its arrival. Also set for early '12 releases are three PlayStation Vita games: Ridge Racer, Shinobido 2: Tales of the Ninja and, awesomely, Katamari Damacy.

Finally, the publisher revealed that Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy, the upcoming 3DS entry in the flight combat series, will arrive in the U.S. on November 15, roughly a month after the console version arrives.

Capcom switched things around a little bit for the upcoming Devil May Cry game, handing development duties over to Heavenly Sword creator Ninja Theory. The result, from what we've seen in clips so far, looks like more of the same over-the-top action plus a goofy new haircut for Dante, our protagonist. Not that I'd tell him so. Just look at all of those giant-sized weapons he's swinging around in this new trailer.

The latest trailer for Devil May Cry, which Capcom premiered as part of its Tokyo Game Show blast this week, finds Dante chopping and leaping his way through some kind of creepy carnival, among other locations. Looking pretty slick, Ninja Theory. The game is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime next year.

Dead or Alive Paradise

Team Ninja has confirmed they're still doing what they do best: making kickass Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden games. During the Tokyo Game Show Team Ninja revealed they were working on both of their core franchises with two new games: Dead or Alive 5 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Dead or Alive 5 Debut Trailer »

Team Ninja won't be ignoring the handheld market; Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PlayStation Vita is set for sometime early next year. Little is known about Dead or Alive 5 other than it will be a multiplatform title set for 2012.

Editor's Note: This image was the first thing to appear when I typed in "Dead or Alive" to our image database. Naturally, I clicked it. It's not actually from either of the above mentioned games.

PlayStation Vita Launch Window To Include 100 Titles

Sony has announced that there will be 100 PlayStation Vita titles available during the Vita launch window. Unfortunately it wasn't exactly made clear during their press conference just when the window starts or when it goes until, but that's a hell of a lot of games.

Some that were mentioned include FISH ON, Dynasty Warriors, LittleBigPlanet 2, Wipeout, UMC, Uncharted, Enverybvodys Golf, Ridge Racer, Michael Jackson, Field, BlazBlue Extend, and Lord of Apocylpse. Titles like Tales of Innocence, Gravity Daze, Metal Gear Solid HD Edition, Fifa, and others will follow sometime after launch.

Does this many games seem too ambitious for the PS Vita's launch, or are you excited about all of the variety?

Metal Gear Solid And Zone Of The Enders HD Collections Coming To The PlayStation Vita

Hideo Kojima took the stage at the Tokyo Game Show to talk about upcoming the Konami releases that are coming to the PlayStation Vita including the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the Zone of Enders HD Collection. We already knew as of E3 that the collections would be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but now you'll be able to play both on the go with your Vita.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will include Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The Zone of the Enders HD Collection will include Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that Tranfarring will be enabled with both of these titles between the Vita and PS3 versions. No release date was announced for either title, so we're not sure if they will be launch titles. As always, when we get more information on these titles we'll be sure to update you.

Final Fantasy 10 HD Remake Coming To The PlayStation Vita And PlayStation 3

Moments ago at Sony's press conference Hashimoto-san from Square Enix announced that an HD version of Final Fantasy 10 is coming for the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3. According to Hashimoto-san us Final Fantasy fans need "to be patient for news regarding this new game" which means we probably shouldn't expect it as a Vita launch title.

When we get more information on the Final Fantasy 10 HD remakes we'll be sure to let  you know all about it.

Tokyo Game Show 2011 was the perfect opportunity to reveal the latest MGS: Snake Eater 3D trailer. In it, Solid Snake is doing what he does best, kicking ass and squatting. I'd say he's equally good at both activities. The trailer also demonstrates how the 3DS can be used to balance Snake.
