All Call of Duty Elite services for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be free when the game launches in November, Activision has announced. Call of Duty Elite currently offers extra services and features for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, like Player HQ, Clan HQ, and Call of Duty Elite TV, as well as guaranteed early access to downloadable map packs for a subscription fee.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Elite Integration Trailer »

"What we have realized is that several of the Call of Duty Elite services which are currently only available to our premium members for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 are things that would further unite, engage and delight our player community. So we are going to make them free for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2," said Activision Publishing CEO, Eric Hirshberg.

Everyone loves free, but we're kind of surprised by the move considering that Call of Duty elite sold one million premium membership in its first week when the service debuted. To make up for the difference this time around, Activision has also announced that they'll be selling four DLC Map Pack for Black Ops 2 as part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season Pass.

The CoD: Black Ops 2 Season Pass will be available for $50 and come to the Xbox 360 first. The maps included will bring new multiplayer and zombie content to players, and each pack will be available individually for $15 for anyone who wants them. In total, those who pick up the Season Pass will save $10.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 launches on November 13, 2012.

Disney Epic Mickey 2

Not everyone is lucky enough to find their passion; fewer still never get a chance to turn that passion into a career. Passion is that thing that keeps you from hitting the snooze bar and keeps you up to all hours of the night. It feeds you when you forget to eat and keeps you going when all else is lost. And when Warren Spector, the creator of such classics as System Shock and Deus Ex, got a chance to work with his passion, a little cartoon character by the name of Mickey Mouse, he did what anyone would do in his situation.

He turned it down.

As you may have guessed by now, this tale has a happy ending since we’re only weeks away from the release of Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. But as Warren Spector described to me, he hesitated first one the deal since he “didn’t want to make a kid’s game.” Taking the lessons learned from Deus Ex as well as many of his previous games, Warren’s ideas for a Mickey game mixed the dystopian future worlds and morality systems along with the early beginnings of Mickey Mouse where there was mischief, adventure, and when the cartoon appeals more towards adults. Warren describes this as a “low pressure, high fun history lesson.”

Black Ops 2

Treyarch has revamped and improved Prestige Mode in upcoming FPS Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2. The most eagerly awaited change: Prestige no longer resets your progress, so your unlocked weapons, completed challenges, and professional perks will remain, even after you've "Prestige'd."

There are a total of 55 levels in Black Ops 2 multiplayer, with 10 levels of Prestige. Prestige players earn a token every time they level up, tokens you can "spend" on either extra Create-A-Class slots (which can be upgraded up to five times,) or on unlocking a new weapon permanently.

Before the words "Tea Party" were co-opted by little girls and a U.S. political faction, they refered to an act of rebellion that took place in Boston on 1773, some civil disobedience that set off a revolution. Assassin's Creed 3 is bringing the tea party back, and this trailer hints at "another revolution. The one that mattered."

Mattered more than the revolutionary war? I don't know about you, but I'm primed for this game.
