PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Release Date Pushed Back

Sony has announced PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will now be released on November 20, 2012. The game's release date was previously set for October 23, 2012. That extra month will let the devs "spend more time polishing and tuning the game, and it will give us a chance to incorporate some of the great feedback we’re receiving from the current limited beta to ensure we are creating the best possible fighting game experience."

Sony has also teased an upcoming PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale announcement from Gamescom this week.

Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee HD: The First Screenshot Revealed

The first screenshot from Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee HD has been revealed. Developer Just Add Water debuted the shot over at the game's official Facebook page, and it seems as though the graphical remaster of the classic PlayStation side-scrolling game is coming along nicely.

Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee HD is coming to the PlayStation 3 and Vita next summer via the PlayStation Network. What do you think of this debut screenshot from the game?

Zen Pinball 2 Arrives Next Month, Mystery Table Reveal At PAX 2012

Zen Studios confirms this morning that Zen Pinball 2 will be coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms on September 4, 2012, most likely right after the developer reveals a new table based on an unspecified PopCap game at PAX Prime 2012. The table will also be added to the Xbox 360's Pinball FX2 on September 5, 2012.

The Zen Pinball 2 release will be a free update for anyone who already owns Zen Pinball or Marvel Pinball. It's also a free download in general, with players able to buy any of the included 26 tables a la carte via an in-game store. Note too that Zen Pinball 2 is considered a cross-platform game, so any tables you own can be played on either of your PlayStation devices.

What do you think the PopCap table will be? My money's on Plants Vs. Zombies. Peggle might seem like a better fit in the context of a pinball game, but PvZ has more personality so it gets my vote.

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale Info Reportedly Leaked

The drip-feed of information on Sony's Smash Bros-like fighter PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale might have just turned into a full-on gush thanks to newly revealed information that was apparently pulled from the files of the game's private beta. While the Internet has generally proven to be good at delivering fakes and forgeries with this sort of thing, the leaked images especially look too accurate to ignore.

A NeoGAF thread does a solid job of rounding up the various details, all of which originated with Reddit user 696Ly. You probably recognize the stage pictured above from BioShock Infinite's Columbia, an interesting choice considering that the only playable character from the Irrational Games series (that we know of) is a Big Daddy, beings that are native to the first two games' Rapture. The leaked images also point to stages inspired by locations in Killzone, Twisted Metal, Infamous, Sly Cooper, LocoRoco, Uncharted, Resistance, Ape Escape, and others.

Grand Theft Auto 3 Anniversary Release Date Revealed

Sony is getting ready to unleash two awesome last-gen games on the PlayStation Network: Grand Theft Auto 3 and War of the Monsters, both of which will arrive on July 31, 2012. The PS2 Classics release was revealed on the latest PlayStation Blogcast (via Siliconera), along with the news that PSP versions of The Warriors and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will soon be PS Vita-compatible.

Rockstar Games' GTA3 should need no introduction; the open-world action game set a standard that just about every other open world title from this gen and the last one built upon in some way. War of the Monsters is a 3D fighting game in which monsters resembling Godzilla, King Kong, and other giant-sized beasts do battle in a variety of urban settings. For those who haven't played before: it's glorious. A definite PS2 era gem.

Sound Shapes Includes Three New Beck Tunes

The upcoming PlayStation 3/PlayStation Vita release Sound Shapes, from Queasy Games, just got a whole lot more awesome, provided that you're a Beck fan. The quirky alt-rocker is lending three of his tunes, all of them unreleased, to the upcoming game, Pitchfork confirms.

The three Sound Shapes tunes are: "Cities," "Touch the People," and "Spiral Staircase." Each one has a level in the game dedicated to it, and all of those levels were designed by Pyramid Attack. Beck joins a line-up that also includes the likes of Deadmau5, Jim Guthrie, and I Am Robot and Proud. The musical side-scrolling platformer is set to hit Sony's platforms on August 7, 2012.

Check out this gallery of images from the three newly revealed Sound Shapes levels (you can see one of those pics up top).
