The Verdict: BioShock 2 Minerva’s Den DLC

BioShock Infinite isn't the only BioShock game we can't wait for. BioShock is also coming to the PS Vita. Irrational Games' Ken Levine recently spoke with IGN about the future of BioShock on other platforms. He may have denied rumors he had plans to bring BioShock to the Wii U but he did confirm the PS Vita version would be just as weird as we want it to be.

"That's a new game. That is going to be strange and surprising to people, in the same way. I think when we launched Infinite, people said, 'Wait, what, what are you doing?' I think we always want to surprise people. If I'm just saying, 'Here's BioShock 1 on Vita'... Let's say we potentially do, you don't need us to do that, somebody could make that happen if they wanted that to happen."

The Sony PlayStation Vita (or as I like to call it, the PSV) was given its proper name and unveiling at E3 2011, so we had Jessica Chobot scope out the system for herself in a hands-on preview. Until you've actually held the thing, you're only getting half the story. So while we can't magically make the Vita appear in your home - I volunteer to test out the new technology when it arrives! - we can show you a glimpse as to what our hands-on time was like. Check it out below.

All rise. The court of TheFeed is now in session. The honorable Jake “Fake Judge” Gaskill presiding. It is the opinion of this court that video games are…what’s that?...the Supreme Court already handed down its ruling on California’s violent video game law?...7-2?...Oh, I see. Well, let's get on with it.

As you've no doubt heard, this is a big week for the games industry, thanks to t but in case you were too busy, I don't know, playing games or something, then you definitely want to check out this week’s episode of Feedback, as Adam Sessler is joined by Casey Schreiner, Stephen Johnson, and Nikole Zivalich to discuss what is arguably the most significant legal decision in gaming history. (For more, be sure to check out Adam's in-depth look at the Supreme Court's decision, and if you have no idea what this whole case is about, brush up here.)

And, as if to honor said decision, the Feedback crew also examines and cross examines the game of the week, the cheeky horror shooter Shadows of the Damned. So if you're into legal jargon and penis-inspired gun puns, you've certainly come to the right place!

Street Fighter X Tekken Screenshots EA 2011: Cole Gives Us The Shocker!

The next Street Fighter games' innovation could be in the realm of customization, series producer Yoshinori Ono said in an interview with GamePro. Speaking on behalf of what he himself would like to see next from the franchise, Ono said, "What I'd love to do someday, if possible, is taking these characters -- like Ryu, Chun-Li, Abel, and Juri -- and having a game where users could customize them to a high degree."

"I'm not talking about their costumes or something like that, but actually customizing what moves they use -- the timing of them, their strengths, their weaknesses -- so that my Ryu could be completely different from your Ryu. In addition to our skill sets being different, our characters themselves would be different," Ono said before comparing the situation to F-1 racing, where despite the use of different parts, strict rulesets guide the manufacturers and comptetitors.

"If we could simulate something like that in a fighting game, I think it would be really awesome," Ono said.

Indeed it would, Ono. Indeed it would. In the meantime until such awesomeness is realized, let's all look forward to Street Fighter x Tekken (pictured above with PS Vita exclusive character Cole McGrath), out sometime in 2012.

E3 2011 might be grower smaller and smaller in our rear view mirrors, but that doesn’t mean we’re done nerding out about all the ridiculous sights and sounds burned into our brains from the show. Seriously, some things can never be unseen (a Kinect-powered jockey game, anyone?). Still, it was a solid show with tons of great titles on display, which is why for this week’s Feedback, Adam Sessler welcomes Matt Keil, Emily Gordon, and yours truly to discuss G4’s Best of E3 2011 nominations. Also on the chatting block is Sucker Punch’s supercharged sequel inFamous 2. It’s a full show, so quit reading this, and watch now!

Rayman Origins Episode One Hits PS3, 360 This Christmas

Rayman Origins is set to explore the hilarious and colorful world of creator Michel Ancel in classic 2D platforming style later this year, and we couldn't be happier. Ubisoft's mascot Rayman hasn't been seen in awhile, no thanks to those rabbids overshadowing him with their buggy eyes and iconic screams. But now the no-armed wonder is back, hopping his way across visually-intense landscapes in a prequel that explores the character's roots, as Jeffrey Matulef explains:

"While we've seen a resurgence of 2D games lately, they're usually low budget digital downloads or for the graphically subpar Wii. Games like Donkey Kong Country Returns and Muramasa: The Demon Blade looked good, but left plenty of room for improvement with our grossly powerful HD consoles untapped. There seems to be a notion that if a game is 2D it's lesser, and thus making a full-priced high-definition one is virtually unheard of. Rayman Origins seeks to go against this and prove that 2D can be every bit as beautiful and enjoyable as 3D."

So no, it's not Beyond Good & Evil 2, and I'm just as crushed as you that we didn't get to see Jade and Uncle Pey'j back in action. However, from what I've seen of Rayman Origins, my pain will soon be gone, replaced with childlike joy and gorgeous eye candy. If you want to see what's consoled me in this difficult time, head over and check out the full Rayman Origins E3 2011 hands-on preview!

Sound Shapes

Whether or not you're still on the fence about the Sony's new handheld, the PlayStation Vita, one game we found absolutely mesmerizing on the console was Sound Shapes. In Sound Shapes you guide a ball around and collect orbs that correspond to musical instruments. It doesn't sound like much, but Jake Gaskill's preview was absolutely glowing.

"The gameplay is fairly straightforward since all you have to do is guide a suction cup-covered ball capable of sticking to certain surfaces around each level, avoiding threats along the way. The kicker is that as you progress through levels, you collect orbs that correspond to musical instruments and notes. Even the levels themselves are built in such a way that platforms and objects make music as well. So as you play the game, you’re actually “playing” the score too, and when you’re building levels, you’re also building an interactive symphony too. Nifty, huh?"
