How to Cook the Perfect Rack

Cooking a decent plate of ribs is both easy and difficult. Most chefs (not featured on Knife Fight) walk into the kitchen thinking that a plate of smoked bbq ribs is the simplest thing to cook. They would be dead wrong. It is true that ribs are relativley uncomplicated, but they can be easily ruined by simply not paying attention while you snag another beer. Luckily, The Art of Manliness has a bulletproof guide on how to cook the perfect rack of ribs. But before you go venturing into the world of smoked ribs, we should take a look at the ingredients you'll need:

  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of paprika
  • 3 tablespoons of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons of celery seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

It looks simple enough and shouldn't take you longer than an hour to prepare and cook. But what will you serve with your smoked ribs? Personally, my favorite is the addition of some simple honey cornbread muffins. Are you more of a pasta guy? Well, you could go for the easy-to-cook asparagus and lemon pasta. Or you could just serve them with your favorite IPA brew or cider. Now go out there and cook.
