Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has already made itself one of the most anticipated television shows of all time. Just after getting the debut teaser promo, ABC has officially released a trio of new stills from this fall's pilot episode.
While they hardly unveil any substantive answers, they do provide an interesting look at the show. In fact, one photo shows Clark Gregg's Agent Phil Coulson in an interrogation room sitting across a table from Chloe Bennet's quirky computer hacker, "Skye" with Brett Dalton's "Agent Grant Ward" looking on menacingly; a scene which seemingly implies that the Skye character is the quintessential noob in this story. It could very well be the case that the pilot's plot involves her stumbling into some dangerous circumstances which eventually leads to her joining the team. -- So, I guess that's a slight reveal of sorts.
Further solidifying the central nature of Bennet's Skye character, is another photo set behind a glass wall with the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo prominently displayed showing Agent Coulson staring ominously at Skye, almost unsure of what to make of her. We're still somewhat far away from any serious plot details getting out, but, as evidenced by the third photo, The Avengers director, Joss Whedon has stepped behind the camera to make sure this TV offshoot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe goes swimmingly.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. gets a pass for now on using the now-clichéd television trend of cute hacker chicks when it appears sometime this fall on its scheduled time of Tuesdays, 8pm on ABC. Check out the new photos below!
