Gravity, this fall's feature focusing on stranded space survivors has released its debut teaser trailer.
We're not privy to the details, but it seems that movie-killing monstrosities like All About Steve and Batman & Robin have compelled humanity to gather together in a rare moment of global solidarity to collectively shoot Sandra Bullock and George Clooney into space where their potential for more cinematic horrors can in the very least be contained. -- Just kidding...well not about the "shot into space" part. That definitely seems to be the predominant narrative in this upcoming film by Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Great Expectations director, Alfonso Cuarón.
Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a medical engineer who's nervous enough as it is, seeing as this is her first mission in space. While she has the company (the distinguished and handsome company) of George Clooney's veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky, it seems that the apprehension may be justified when a freak accident during a routine spacewalk destroys their shuttle, leaving the duo stranded on a damaged space station with communication cut from Earth...and a deadly, drooling alien Xenomorph stalking them in the shadows. -- Yeah, joking again.
The 1:30 minute teaser trailer certainly lives up to its teasing classification, but as we witness the aforementioned accident which will eventually strand our duo, it's clear that this survival film is packed full exciting eye-popping pixels.
Gravity lets ladies vicariously live the dream of being stuck in space with George Clooney at theaters on October 4. Let the film's centrifugal force pull you down to the teaser trailer below!
