Iron Man 3 tangles with a tour de force of terror in a just little over two weeks. However, the cavalcade of new clips keeps coming in as if we weren't already sold. At the MTV Movie Awards last night (where sister film, The Avengers cleaned up nicely), the latest sneak peak was unveiled spotlighting one of the signature moments in the various trailers we've been seeing: The sinking of Iron Man's seaside pad.
The next time you might find yourself off-put at home by the occasional pushy salesperson, cookie sale extorting Girl's Scout, or flyer-wielding church crier, just keep in mind that Tony Stark has to worry about combat helicopters armed to the teeth showing up at his doorstep, which tends to turn one's place into Swiss cheese. Indeed, the eccentric electronics genius has been put in a proverbial pickle as he struggles to gets his gear going. However, while some might keep a gun or pepper spray handy for home security, Tony prefers his preventative measures to be more musically inclined, as he subjects one of the would-be attacking crafts to a fate more befitting of Daffy Duck.
These goons, likely sent on behalf of The Mandarin might eventually send Tony's paradise pad plummeting into the rough seas, but he'll certainly make sure that some of them meet death by keys. -- In the meantime, he'll need to get the settings on this new prototype armor situated and in all likelihood, install extensive updates for Adobe Flash before he can do some real damage.
Iron Man 3 weaponizes instruments when it hits theaters on May 3.
