We recently learned that the title of the third Borderlands 2 DLC pack is most likely Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, but further data mining over the weekend has led to some additional details as well. A Reddit user who took the time to dig through the game's recent PlayStation 3 update uncovered a load of info on the coming DLC pack as well as additional details of planned character customization content packs.
Some of this info falls into spoiler territory, so here's a text buffer for those who would prefer to be surprised by what's coming in the third Borderlands 2 DLC. If you absolutely can't wait and need to know more, hit the jump for the full rundown.
It appears the the coming third DLC pack travels to the "swamp/jungle continent" of Aegrus. Players can look forward to a new raid boss -- which is apparently "a Stalker the size of a small building" -- a new fanboat vehicle with corrosive, incedniary, and shock weapon mods, a new head/skin for each character class, and new enemies "like the borok and scaylion." Other tidbits nod to Hammerlock hunting quests, 12 side missions and five "longer main story missions," new Seraph items and a time-limited treasure room. Also, Claptrap.
The same Reddit user also discovered evidence of additional planned content drops in the form of three customization packs. It's not clear if this is planned as part of a future update or if it's something you'll be able to buy, but it seems that the Domination Pack, Supremacy Pack, and Madness Pack will each add a new head and a new skin for all five characters.
In similarly leaktastic news, MP1st has screenshots of an assortment of weapons that are apparently new to the Sir Hammerlock DLC. There may or may not be others, but the lengthy lineup includes both blue-level rarity items and pink-level Seraph gear. One highlight: the Elephant Gun from the first Borderlands makes its welcome return.
