It's a blurry photo of a projected image, but what you see above is the first publicly revealed screenshot from Dragon Age 3: Inquisition. BioWare art and animation director Neil Thompson shared the image during a talk at the Bradford Animation Festival, as reported by Eurogamer.
Thompson mentioned that the image reveal marks "the first time anyone has see a frame of [Dragon Age 3] outside BioWare studios." He also admitted later, in response to a Q&A query, that the proprietary Eclipse engine "was starting to creak a little bit" in Dragon Age 2. That's why BioWare shifted over to Frostbite 2.0 for Dragon Age 3, a move which Thompson said reduces the number of technical challenges that he and his fellow artists face.
