The early voting in round one of Videogame Deathmatch best of 2012 edition is happening right now, and some of the battles are shaping up to be very interesting. While there are some outright shellackings happening -- Mass Effect 3 is beating Journey by like 50 points, and Borderlands 2 is clocking 90% of votes against Forza: Horizon -- but there are some battles shaping up to be very, very close, including the showdown between ZombiU and Lego: Lord of the Rings.
Right now, Lego: Lord of the Rings is ahead, 59% to 41%, but the voting is in its early stages, and the hype around ZombiU -- a launch game for a new system -- may just close that gap by the time the voting is over. That LOTR is just out today and ZombiU still not available might sway public opinion, but that's the great thing about VGDM: Anything can happen!
